I didn't insinuate anything like that. Neither instrument is abnormal. However, upright bass is the original stringed bass, and the original bass instrument used in rock music. Bass guitar was a derivate of upright bass, and acoustic bass guitar is a derivate of bass guitar. Upright bass is more authentic to rock, is all I'm saying.
