@08WhiteSi go to go-autoworks, and check the turbo applications. briancrower with all internals(that are needed is rods and pistons), and blueridge motorsports. most people that deal with hondas do their own work, in my experience.

@08WhiteSi alright ricer i need to explain something to you about turbos. in lay mans terms so maybe you get it. a BIGGER turbo, like a GT42r(retail of $2k due to ball bearing) at 10PSI will make conciderably more power than a GT30r($1.2k due to ball bearing). the GT42r is rated up to 1000whp and has a much more massive flow than the smaller turbo, therefore at the same boost levels will make much more power. what the gt30r would make at 30psi, the 42r would make at 20psi...maybe less.

@08WhiteSi you dont need carbon fiber anything. blueridge sells dry blocks for $50, a crank from a stock GSR is cheap but you could buy a BC one for $600 if your feeling it, a b16a head is $350, transmission is $500. go-autoworks sells a turbo kit for 3k, rods and pistons will run you 1k unless you know someone. wheels and slicks around $400 used. chipping the ECU is easy and cheap, chrome is like 100-200 to tune with, injectors are 400, map sensor to run more boost+fuel is 120ish.

Look hondas is a born drag and circuit.... i have a cic ek9 hatch wih a turbo k24 motor. that pushes 900 hp and 879 torque... i lived in osaka and tokio japan for a few years and hondas out there only push 600 to 900 hp.. ive seen hondas push 1000 hp. and ive beat a total of 45 mustangs, 2 bikes, 9 s2000 1 malibu and da new charger srt8. these dudes in america have some shit hondas.ill admit to that ...but go to japan or run across a jdm spec accord or civic .

What a waste of cylinders. 225hp our of 5 liters. The accord makes 270hp out of a 3.5L v6 and doesn't have to rev past 5000rpm to get there either. The 3.5L also has plenty torque too and it's one of the best designed v6. Domestic manufacturers don't put an effort into building their engines.

not a very good race cause the gsr makes all the power in the top end and the mustang is just the opposite. Who ever starts the race in their powerband wins. Id say these cars are about dead even.

@CrackinVTEC666 An unmolested B18C3 (the most powerful of the Honda GSR engines), makes 194 hp. Sorry, but that won't outrun a '90 Mustang GT without modification. The '90 GT makes 225 hp. The only way a Civic with the B18C3 could outrun an '90 GT, is if the GT has the 3.08:1 rear-end ratio, and after 90 mph, the Mustang would run away from it.
P.S. Ford's Ti-VCT 5.0 makes 412 hp. No stock 4-banger will ever come close. Again, you lose!
@MY50GT and the mustang weighs ALOT more than a hatchback does soo the gsr will smoke it do you understand my boy has a 94 civic hatch with a STOCK k20 6speed runs 12.7s papers for 243 WHP all motor all hes got is an intake and exhaust you can tach a mustang up to what 5500 lmao my vtec engages at that and i redline at 8400 ive beaten mustangs before in my car mostly mid 90s 4.6sohc and they all get soo salty when they see me pull away from them
@CrackinVTEC666 If it makes 243 whp it isn't a stock K20. K20 Mugen tune makes 240 hp at the crank (the most powerful K20 I could find), which is roughly 205 hp at the wheels. If he's putting down 243 whp, 12's make sense, I don't doubt that. Also, redline is irrelevant. I have a video of an F-350 diesel running 10's, and they redline at 3500 rpm, tops. It's all about powerband / area under the curve. The 5.0 V8 doesn't need to rev to 8400, because it makes its power from 3500 to 5300 rpm.
@MY50GT hes got a KPRO tune and yea my dads 99 ram cummins runs 13s with a banks performance kit but diesels are SUPER expensive to tune i wish i had the money for one and just like i prefer 2stroke quads i like hearing the motor scream at high rpms

@CrackinVTEC666 I don't doubt a 4 cylinder could compete with my Mustang. It ran a 12.93 @ 105 m.p.h. It's quick, but not fast. However, given the funds and a 460 block in decent shape. I'd hit low 10's, possibly 9's, and the motor would only cost me around $6k to build, plus another grand to tune it and get the car legal for 10's. Not that many 4-cylinders FWD's that can dip past the 10's, since acceleration takes traction off the front wheels when launching.
@MY50GT 460s are TERRIBLE on gas there not really practical anymore not that hard to buy the biggest motor you can find and squeeze it under the hood shit i could go balls out like that and squeeze a V6 j32 type s 6 speed under my hood with a supercharger for 6K and run 10s but its not practical and frankly its no fun at all

If I put a 460 in a Mustang and stroked it out to 514 cid, making over 700 hp, and running away from most cars on the road, the mileage would be the last thing on my mind. It'd be all about the power and enjoying the drive. 460 is practical because parts are cheap and all over the place. Would I drive it to work everyday? Hell no, it'd be a weekend car, LOL.

@CrackinVTEC666 I had $2000 of suspension in my Mustang, that car was glued to the road. The stock suspension always sucked. The 2005+ Mustang with the coil-on-axle suspension handles great. The 2004 Mustang was close to the 1979 Mustang, most of those parts swap with little modifications, 25 Year Old technology. Mustang was made for a straight line, but given a great setup, they will corner beautifully. Getting a Mustang to handle is the same as getting a Civic to run 10's.

They knew about VVT, but the technology wasn't advanced enough to impliment it efficiently (and the Germans came up with VVT, not Honda). By the way, your arguement is asenine. @rayzian True, but F1 wasn't a popular sport in America in the 60's, and still isn't a popular sport in America today (although it is growing, I myself am a fan), which is why Ford never spent money in R&D for F1 engines. However, NEARLY EVERYONE competes in Le Mans, and Ford has defeated every maker out there. Ferrari lobbied to get the 427 SOHC banned ... that's how bad Ford's stranglehold was.

If I was gonna get a Honda and build it, I'd start with an S2000, it's RWD, insanely light, very nimble, great handling, and would be a killer on a road track and drag track with a decent setup. NASCAR, F1, and Professional Drag Racers all use RWD for a reason.

@08WhiteSi alright ricer i need to explain something to you about turbos. in lay mans terms so maybe you get it. a BIGGER turbo, like a GT42r(retail of $2k due to ball bearing) at 10PSI will make conciderably more power than a GT30r($1.2k due to ball bearing). the GT42r is rated up to 1000whp and has a much more massive flow than the smaller turbo, therefore at the same boost levels will make much more power. what the gt30r would make at 30psi, the 42r would make at 20psi...maybe less.

@08WhiteSi wtf where did you get your info from?(the civic blew up, hence no boost) - 30PSI from a 6765($1k retail) is different from 30PSI from a 60-1($750 retail). 7 grand are you fuckin high dude? there isnt a turbo set up out there for a civic that runs 7 grand unless your talking full-race top mount, and $3k outlaw class turbo set up(for 7s btw). 11.1 compression on 26psi from a 67mm turbo = boom. god what the fuck...i havnt actually lied about anything, but you need an education.

@08WhiteSi you dont need carbon fiber anything. blueridge sells dry blocks for $50, a crank from a stock GSR is cheap but you could buy a BC one for $600 if your feeling it, a b16a head is $350, transmission is $500. go-autoworks sells a turbo kit for 3k, rods and pistons will run you 1k unless you know someone. wheels and slicks around $400 used. chipping the ECU is easy and cheap, chrome is like 100-200 to tune with, injectors are 400, map sensor to run more boost+fuel is 120ish.

What a waste of cylinders. 225hp our of 5 liters. The accord makes 270hp out of a 3.5L v6 and doesn't have to rev past 5000rpm to get there either. The 3.5L also has plenty torque too and it's one of the best designed v6. Domestic manufacturers don't put an effort into building their engines.

@CrackinVTEC666 An unmolested B18C3 (the most powerful of the Honda GSR engines), makes 194 hp. Sorry, but that won't outrun a '90 Mustang GT without modification. The '90 GT makes 225 hp. The only way a Civic with the B18C3 could outrun an '90 GT, is if the GT has the 3.08:1 rear-end ratio, and after 90 mph, the Mustang would run away from it.
P.S. Ford's Ti-VCT 5.0 makes 412 hp. No stock 4-banger will ever come close. Again, you lose!

@CrackinVTEC666 If it makes 243 whp it isn't a stock K20. K20 Mugen tune makes 240 hp at the crank (the most powerful K20 I could find), which is roughly 205 hp at the wheels. If he's putting down 243 whp, 12's make sense, I don't doubt that. Also, redline is irrelevant. I have a video of an F-350 diesel running 10's, and they redline at 3500 rpm, tops. It's all about powerband / area under the curve. The 5.0 V8 doesn't need to rev to 8400, because it makes its power from 3500 to 5300 rpm.

@MY50GT hes got a KPRO tune and yea my dads 99 ram cummins runs 13s with a banks performance kit but diesels are SUPER expensive to tune i wish i had the money for one and just like i prefer 2stroke quads i like hearing the motor scream at high rpms

@MY50GT were on opposite ends of the country dude im over her in SJ and around here we love our hondas i go to the races in philly often and domestic owners know to stay away we have many heavy hitters that chill out there ive seen plenty of mustangs camaros firebirds and even a viper get cracked because they thought the same thing you do ..... its a 4 cyl theres no way hell beat me the only domestic that did damage out there was dudemans 72 nova wit fully built 454 and turbo 400 tranny

@CrackinVTEC666 I don't doubt a 4 cylinder could compete with my Mustang. It ran a 12.93 @ 105 m.p.h. It's quick, but not fast. However, given the funds and a 460 block in decent shape. I'd hit low 10's, possibly 9's, and the motor would only cost me around $6k to build, plus another grand to tune it and get the car legal for 10's. Not that many 4-cylinders FWD's that can dip past the 10's, since acceleration takes traction off the front wheels when launching.

@MY50GT 460s are TERRIBLE on gas there not really practical anymore not that hard to buy the biggest motor you can find and squeeze it under the hood shit i could go balls out like that and squeeze a V6 j32 type s 6 speed under my hood with a supercharger for 6K and run 10s but its not practical and frankly its no fun at all

If I put a 460 in a Mustang and stroked it out to 514 cid, making over 700 hp, and running away from most cars on the road, the mileage would be the last thing on my mind. It'd be all about the power and enjoying the drive. 460 is practical because parts are cheap and all over the place. Would I drive it to work everyday? Hell no, it'd be a weekend car, LOL.

@CrackinVTEC666 Wrong, so so wrong. For 7 grand I can buy a used Fox Body Mustang and get it to run 10's, including the price of the car. You can't get a Honda into 10's for 7 grand even if you got the car for free.
By the way, a new 2011 Civic Si is rated for 29 mpg highway, and if it ran 11's, it would dip down to 22 mpg, easy. It's simple physics, more power = more fuel. Pull your head out of your ass before commenting.

@CrackinVTEC666 I had $2000 of suspension in my Mustang, that car was glued to the road. The stock suspension always sucked. The 2005+ Mustang with the coil-on-axle suspension handles great. The 2004 Mustang was close to the 1979 Mustang, most of those parts swap with little modifications, 25 Year Old technology. Mustang was made for a straight line, but given a great setup, they will corner beautifully. Getting a Mustang to handle is the same as getting a Civic to run 10's.

They knew about VVT, but the technology wasn't advanced enough to impliment it efficiently (and the Germans came up with VVT, not Honda). By the way, your arguement is asenine. @rayzian True, but F1 wasn't a popular sport in America in the 60's, and still isn't a popular sport in America today (although it is growing, I myself am a fan), which is why Ford never spent money in R&D for F1 engines. However, NEARLY EVERYONE competes in Le Mans, and Ford has defeated every maker out there. Ferrari lobbied to get the 427 SOHC banned ... that's how bad Ford's stranglehold was.

If I was gonna get a Honda and build it, I'd start with an S2000, it's RWD, insanely light, very nimble, great handling, and would be a killer on a road track and drag track with a decent setup. NASCAR, F1, and Professional Drag Racers all use RWD for a reason.
Nissan 300ZX, 350Z, 370Z. Toyota Supra RZ, Celica GT-Four, those are the fun tuner cars.
