  • i think its fantastic and easy.to by my materials . perfect . just right too me thanks again TWj. great great great.

  • @StFrancisChurch I am pleased that you like them!

  • You make your picots the same way I make mine- by going through both of the two top strands at the top of the stitch previously worked- picots look a lot nicer and more finished that way.

  • @teceyS3 It does look a lot nicer!

  • Beautiful and easy!! Thank you

  • @silverdolphyn You are welcome.

  • Teresa, your work is exquisite! I love thread crochet and just made my mom a thread crochet bracelet. I used 20 weight thread and a white pony tail band as a base. She has little wrists and the pony tail band was the perfect size. She can just easily slip it on without using any clasps. I designed the bracelet and really enjoyed the process. Your videos make me want to do more.

  • @creativeplanetjanet Sounds beautiful! You are welcome to share a picture on my Facebook page.

  • can you please post more designs for variety in earrings

    thankyou

  • Easily understandable. Thankyou :)

  • How difficult would it be to add a bead where the picot is?

  • @nannab1953 It would be pretty easy to do. You can add the beads to your thread prior to crocheting or you can attach the bead when you get to the picot. You will want to make sure that your hook fits through the center of the bead if you wait to attach. I know that they sell bead files to make the center of the bead larger.

  • @Nalora:) I definetly do make weird mistakes with some of the old lace patterns, especially if I'm not concentrating fully on what I'm doing.

@tjw1963:) I'm still relatively new to crocheting, I have a difficult time with reading patterns they just don't make sense to me that's why I find these videos so helpful. I've definetly broadened my crocheting horizons, Thank you so much!!!!

  • The smaller stitches for some reason are harder for me to keep count with. I tend to loose or gain one or two. :)

  • Crocheting at night is harder with Thread. hehe.

  • @Nalora Yes, you are right about that.

  • i think that my biggest issue with crochet cotton is that the stitches always seem disproportionatly large next to the thread and i have trouble keeping them tight enough

  • Thank you so much for this! I have an old pair of hoops just like this I was going to throw out because they're dull and turning (not silver anymore), but I think this can give them new life :)

  • can you use craft thread?

  • @sharlicious123 What is the thread you are referring to typically used for? There is a variety of different size threads.

  • @tjw1963 i'm not sure but on the packeage it says it can be used for macrame and needlework.

  • @sharlicious123 You can try it. I know some of the macrame cord can get quite large.

  • Okay, I totally have to try this!

  • very nice! ! !

  • wow xD this is a nice idea ^_^ we can find this kind of earrings anywhere xD thanks alot

  • stitches are so small I need magnifying glasses when I use the crochet thread. I love it though!

  • @occasionaldream Reading glasses will work when using crochet thread and tiny stitches. My eyesight is not as sharp as it used to be, especially at night. When I feel that I am not seeing what I should, I will pull out my nerdy reading glasses. They work great.

  • very Nice! Keep up the Great work & Happy Crocheting! You inspire me to get better and better at my crocheting!

  • I find it difficult to find or figure out patterns for using thread crochet thats not modern. All the patterns I seem to find are ones that my grandmother used

  • @missjadebunny All fashion is a form of something that has been used before. The patterns are just a template. You can revise a pattern to put a fresh spin on it.

  • @missjadebunny Crochet stitches changed around 1920 I believe, double crochet now was treble crochet before 1920. Victorian crochet will make you crazy sometimes unless you translate the pattern completely, and you may make some weird mistakes.

  • Such a fun idea. Nice clarity of detail (and manicure too)!

  • That loos so hard. With my fat fingers. I am afraid to even try. But its sssooo pretty. :)

  • pretty. I wanna try this :-)

  • LOVE THEM!!

  • STUNNING!

  • It always looks wonky because I end up not getting my loops uniform and some areas are small and dainty and the rest look like they are done by an elephant.

  • @Bccaundefined how do you hold your tension thread? If you are using thread, sometimes it is easier to get a better tension if you wrap it twice around your little finger. Sort of like when you thread a sewing machine. use your little finger to keep the tension, instead of just your in and out between your fingers.

  • My chains always come out twisted. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but it drives me crazy! I sometimes pull to tight and make the loops too small. So I either make the loops too small or it twists. >_<

  • @SharPeiMuttOwner sometimes with thread crochet, it is best to pull the thread out a ways and kind of smooth it by running it through your hand when you are doing the first chain, especially if it is a long chain. It won't make it totally not spiral if you are doing a long chain, but it will help. Remember that if you are doing a row, you will be kind of flattening the spiral as you go when you do the second and third rows.
