I'm mexican, and from what I can tell, "puta" means slut, "perra" would be bitch, because a female dog is called a bitch and in spanish perra, and in spanish the male dog is called a perro although perro isnt bad. "Puta" is a really really bad word in spanish, its like the number one bad word from the family i come from.
