I got 1000 of requesters appearing over eachother as it tried to boot or log in or get out of suspend mode...so? How come? Then I tried to load some movies to convert them to mpg, avi or something else than MOV shit..what happend? That iMovie was a pain to use and totally user not-friendly...a Commodore 64 would have done the job much better haha

Not all windows users can handle their windows, and even if they could they would still have to labor to maintain it. If a macintosh doesn't need to be maintained at all the extra time could be used to do something productive, like writing a computer program, or building a website. Scanning for viruses, and dealing with odd errors every once in a while isn't considered productive, it is more like a burden. If the user is comp illiterate it's even better, he can spend more time learning etc.

The amount of worms and viruses overwhelm what little threats there are for the Macintosh. For the average dude who does not download torrents and pirate software he would probably never get a virus....With windows you need one. So what Apple is saying is partially true. Not meaning that it's a bad deal, but to a casual user who does not pirate software (doing so would be outside of apples warranty anyway) He wouldn't have to worry about virus or worms if he chose a Macintosh. For the heavy user, he'd have better security, and a more stable system to work with. Some might argue that Macs are overpriced, but Apple has put labor into developing the user experience which adds to final price.

the value of labor depends on the average time socially necessary. You are right you can't charge someone more because you took forever to make something. People would rather buy the product that cost less. If you hired more workers the time would multiply per worker. Conclusion: Apple develops the hardware/software etc. They charge you for the price of the parts + the labor it took them to develop the product.

Its possible, you can never measure labor 100% accurately. People aren't dumb they'd realize if something was a rip off. But for eg. look at Sony's VAIO PC. They charge for the parts + Windows + bundled (sony) software etc. Basically they just slapped parts together leaving Windows to do the integration(automated but not perfect).
With a mac: parts + labor costs needed to integrate both software and hardware + bundled software etc. They are building from the ground up so it justifies the price.

Your lack of understanding limits your judgement. You fail to notice that vendors (sony etc) can only make the hardware compatible through drivers and can't rewrite the OS to optimize. Apple adopted a closed architecture model so when they want to optimize the system to fit the hardware they do by rewriting parts of the OS. Thus justifying that they are putting in more labor than you are of just putting stuff together and installing drivers.

Easy, look up driver problems on google. Over a million hits does that not say something to you? A driver you installed or updated from one manufacturer might interfere/create problems to other drivers or the system. On a mac for eg. you buy a wireless mouse and want to get started using it, all you have is turn it on you're away! Why can't PC's do the same? well because Microsoft only works with software, hardware is out of their reach. It's up to you to install what is necessary to use it.
I can't be any clearer. Eg. Sony may be getting discounts for Windows for being a partner buying a certain amount etc. All they are doing is putting parts together and using Windows and hardware drivers made by different vendors to integrate. For the Macintosh, they are rewriting the OS.

They use the same parts as what you would find in a PC, but they're always more expensive, and I've never heard of an instance where one has been able to upgrade a mac compy. with my experiece with my MBP is that it looks good and general use fantastic apart from that i have to use a PC to do my work im CPA and all corporate software are not on MACs, o has no access ( the proper version) Etc etc
And even with bootcamp Macs arnt made for heavy gaming its not powerful enough to play at high settings except if you get the ATI4850 upgrade lol

And when he woke up he would have no memory of any of the files he was working on and Microsoft couldn't give you any explanation of why it kept happening except 'reformat' which doesn't work. Not all windows users can handle their windows, and even if they could they would still have to labor to maintain it. If a macintosh doesn't need to be maintained at all the extra time could be used to do something productive, like writing a computer program, or building a website. Scanning for viruses, and dealing with odd errors every once in a while isn't considered productive, it is more like a burden. If the user is comp illiterate it's even better, he can spend more time learning etc.

Not meaning that it's a bad deal, but to a casual user who does not pirate software (doing so would be outside of apples warranty anyway) He wouldn't have to worry about virus or worms if he chose a Macintosh. For the heavy user, he'd have better security, and a more stable system to work with. Some might argue that Macs are overpriced, but Apple has put labor into developing the user experience which adds to final price.

This just further proves how stable and firm the system can be, even a raging retard wasn't able to destabilize it. It's like giving a foot soldier an excalibur and pitting him against a knight with a dull sword. What you are saying is that we should always have extra weight on our backs and if the burden is lifted it means your hand is being held. the only reason why a Windows system has extra steps is that it was developed so it could be put together with different hardware. That's how Microsoft makes profit, they sacrificed user usability to lift the burden on vendors that wanted to put together their own computers to compete with Apple. the value of labor depends on the average time socially necessary. You are right you can't charge someone more because you took forever to make something. People would rather buy the product that cost less. If you hired more workers the time would multiply per worker. Conclusion: Apple develops the hardware/software etc. They charge you for the price of the parts + the labor it took them to develop the product.

Its possible, you can never measure labor 100% accurately. People aren't dumb they'd realize if something was a rip off. But for eg. look at Sony's VAIO PC. They charge for the parts + Windows + bundled (sony) software etc. Basically they just slapped parts together leaving Windows to do the integration(automated but not perfect).
With a mac: parts + labor costs needed to integrate both software and hardware + bundled software etc. They are building from the ground up so it justifies the price.

They're using the same fucking parts billy. If I make my own compy with the exact same internals as a mac but I put windows on it, it isn't going to somehow be LESS INTEGRATED than the mac one, just because apple put it together instead of me. My hands aren't going to somehow ruin it.

Your lack of understanding limits your judgement. You fail to notice that vendors (sony etc) can only make the hardware compatible through drivers and can't rewrite the OS to optimize. Apple adopted a closed architecture model so when they want to optimize the system to fit the hardware they do by rewriting parts of the OS. Thus justifying that they are putting in more labor than you are of just putting stuff together and installing drivers.

Easy, look up driver problems on google. Over a million hits does that not say something to you? A driver you installed or updated from one manufacturer might interfere/create problems to other drivers or the system. On a mac for eg. you buy a wireless mouse and want to get started using it, all you have is turn it on you're away! Why can't PC's do the same? well because Microsoft only works with software, hardware is out of their reach. It's up to you to install what is necessary to use it.

I can't be any clearer. Eg. Sony may be getting discounts for Windows for being a partner buying a certain amount etc. All they are doing is putting parts together and using Windows and hardware drivers made by different vendors to integrate. For the Macintosh, they are rewriting the OS.

Part for part, macs are always more expensive. They use the same parts as what you would find in a PC, but they're always more expensive, and I've never heard of an instance where one has been able to upgrade a mac compy. I think it's just because apple knows they can get away with it (for whatever reason).
I mean you could give me the best mac you got, and I could buy all the parts separately off of newegg and probably shave off at least 30% of the price easily.

with my experiece with my MBP is that it looks good and general use fantastic apart from that i have to use a PC to do my work im CPA and all corporate software are not on MACs, o has no access ( the proper version) Etc etc
And even with bootcamp Macs arnt made for heavy gaming its not powerful enough to play at high settings except if you get the ATI4850 upgrade lol
and another thing is when i brought it they offered me training classes if its so easy why do i have these classes???

Here's a tip: If you've ever upgraded your computer with new ram or a graphics card, or if you've ever fucking OPENED IT UP, you can build your own computer. The only hard part is mounting some shit on the case and figuring out the best way to position stuff, other than that it's just hooking things up.
But people that use macs don't know anything about that, you can't upgrade them. Your mac gets sort of old so you throw it away and buy a new one. You wouldn't do that with a car, so why a PC?

When I want snappy one-liners, I'll watch Apple's slightly amusing commercials. On my PC. And then I'll play some video games on my antivirus-less Windows Vista computer.
When I want function over form, I look where the rest of the world does: to the PC and Windows.

I have a mac and I love it... I have mates that have PCs and love them... so f***ing what?! People have the right to like whatever they like for whatever reason. One mans positive is another mans negative. I hate these adds... but I hate the Mac/PC argument more!!!

Oh and I'm a PC and I hate the Vista operating system so much any Computer I have bought since they started loading them with Vista or anything newer I wipe the hard drive clean and load it with Windows XP,

I'm confused are future mac and PC supposed to be clones or does this imply we discover the secrets of immortality and if so do we ALL get to live forever or only if it helps with ad campaigns' continuity?
Or is this supposed to be a dream of PC traveling into the future and if so when did the dream begin? It MUST all be a dream because neither mac or PC were surprised to have a time machine to begin with!

lol I been working as a computer tech for a while now at future shop..
And mac gets its fair share of errors to.
HECK if something goes wrong with mac, you'll most likely need to format it.
Mac might get less crashes then windows, but wen something DOSE happen to mac, its most likely bad XD
PLUS windows vista and 7 has WAY less errors and shit then windows XP, but windows xp still pawns XD

Every Release of windows has been shit, of course i have used vista. Its shit. Constantly crashes, Always needs antivirus spyware protection. Uses a shit load of ram. It's a waste of time. Windows 7 is getting there. Funny how apple Had a stable GUI in 1984 while windows is still constantly crashing after 25 years

My Windows Vista laptop doesn't freeze anymore. It would be more accurate if PC just randomly showed a blue screen for one second and shut down completely. And when he woke up he would have no memory of any of the files he was working on and Microsoft couldn't give you any explanation of why it kept happening except 'reformat' which doesn't work. Ah we PC users are a smart bunch.
