Hey, I got new eneloop batteries that seem to come pre-charged.. do I need to discharge the batteries prior to using the "break-in" mode? cause it seems like if I don't, the charger seems to over-charge them-- bringing the batteries to greater capacities than the value I've entered, and higher voltage than 1.5...
Also, if the break-in is interrupted (say, due to cable being unplugged) -- can I just restart the process with the same capacity value (2500mah for my batteries)?
@myphrase Yes, you can charge NiCd in slots 1 & 2 and NiMH in slots 3 & 4. Sust be sure to charge the NiCd much slower, I would recommend half thier capacity. Eg if they are 600mAh AA's, charge atno more than 300mA
Nice video! This is also able to charge Ni-cd correct? If so can I charge it at the same time with Ni-MH, for example Ni-Cd in slots 1&2 and Ni-Mh in slots 3&4. It should be possible because each slot is separate, just making sure. Thank you!
thanks for your response. I think I spoke too soon because, although incredibly faint, my charger is now making a much softer pulsing sound. I got this charger 2 days ago, held my ear to it while it was charging batteries and couldn't hear anything. Now when I put my ear close to it, I can hear a faint, but distinct pulsing "beep" sound. This is definitely not a nuisance (unless it gets louder over time), just very intriguing. Most definitely, this charger destroys my older Energizer CHM4FC
@gnarlyneil1 the 2011 version uses a newer circuitry which does not produce the pigh pitched pulsing sound that the 2006-2010 models do while charging.
Excellent video demonstration. One very interesting thing I've noticed with your charger is the audiable pulse frequency noises. I got my mh-c9000 today and I'm breaking in a few AA batteries and I don't notice any audiable pulse charge sounds. Has your charger made those sounds since day one?
