There's a duet I never thought I would ever see. Bruce is classic Bruce, and Axl seems to be forcing the issue a bit much. Axl's got a wonderful singing voice, I just think he chose the wrong technique for this song.

Was Axl Rose intentionally trying to sound like shit in this live performance? I don't get it, so low and so forced, very unlike his usual voice; perhaps he didn't have time to warm up his pipes? Or perhaps just a case of showing respect to Springsteen? Or perhaps vocal damage after years of tours? Whatever the real answer, Axl does not sound like himself in this, I'm definitely disappointed with this performance.

I don't get how there's hate for Axl in every video. Axl sounds fantastic here. He sounds fantastic most of the time (with a few exceptions, like 1991, 2001, 2002). Whether or not he's a dickhead (haven't met him, so I can't judge) is irrelevant.

I haven't heard much from Bruce Springsteen at all, but he sounds absolutely killer here as well. I need to listen to more Bruce Springsteen. . .
