  • Is it at the watcher tower where the NYers gained enfilade over the confederates? Where it takes a 90 degree turn back to the north west? I am trying to pin point it on google earth but there is no specific marker for the spot.

  • @exxcalibur1973 Sorry, I don't know. The grid position of Bloody Lane is this 39°28'17.03"N 77°44'24.66"W but I cannot answer your question.

  • @VideoHistoryToday Thank you, nonetheless. Great vids :)

  • When you see it in person, it makes you think because of what happened there.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • That road is way deeper than it looks.

  • Antietam, or Sharpsburg (whatever you call it), is the best Civil War battlefield you can visit. Walking through the Bloody Lane or along the Dunker Church is a very humbling experience.

  • @woodster09 Very true.

  • i walked down bloody lane at like midnight and seen some ghosts standing in the field next to it up on a hill it was freaky as hell

  • Great vid. Thanks for doing this.

  • Also casualty count was 23,110 on both sides for that day.

  • the depression at the sunken road (AKA Bloody lane) varies depending on where you are in it. at some places it is as deep as five feet.
