  • Very good video! Thanks for posting! Can you tell me what the model number or name of the chop saw is called because I like how the saw slides back in forth and doesn't just go up and down.

  • @jjbulls4523 That one is a Dewalt sliding chop saw. It goes up and down and slides. It has since been stolen from me.

  • @DominickDiy Okay thanks do you know if hitachi ones are better. Oh that's not good how did that happen.

  • Hi this is a very helpful video! I have a question tho. want to make a hexagon (6 sided) shape. Can a chop saw measure out the 60degree angle for me? Thanks!

  • @JAMMAN1701 You'll looking for 22.5 degree

  • @DominickDiy yay im rite lol thanks

  • Thanks for that. Just about to use one for the first time. (I'll be careful!).

  • Wow I've never seen this type of saw before. How much does a good one go for?

  • The angle device you are talking about?

I have a 7USD angle "divisor", pretty much the same as the 120USD Festool MiterFast Angle Transfer Device, which take the angle from the wall. When putting it on the turntable, it points directly to 1/2 of the angle taken from the wall. So doesn't matter if the corner goes 90 or not, they will always be mitered correctly in half.

  • Hey Dominic, is inside corner cut the say way you showed outside corner? I mean.. both have to be 45 degrees IF your walls are perfect 90 degrees but what do you do differently when you do the insider corner from outside? Thanks!

  • In a perfect world you could. You still could but it could come out not looking good. But only because in most cases with a sheet rock wall the un taped end of the sheet rock is on the bottom. As well your wall would have to be 110% perfect. I will be making that video asap..

  • @DominickDiy Thanks for replying. Will wait for the next inside corner cut video.
