@lol4dead No, in fact, I hated it. I at least liked every other RE game, -except- 4. 99% of all the people who "LOVED" RE4, loved it because it was either: A. Easy to play and VERY action-y. B. Their FIRST Resident Evil.

Neither of those make it a good game or is a good reason to say "You're stupid for not liking it."

I beat it, twice, once on GC and once on PS2. Both times I got -very- bored.

Not to mention RE4's plot could be erased and it'd effect -nothing- in the main plot. :<

RE4 basically turned RE into "generic action" instead of "survival horror", which in my opinion, hurt it (as a series) a lot.

@lol4dead RE5 actually has plot relevance, despite people immediately writing it off as "more action". The devs took time to make the AI partner a little more tolerable and gave her the ability to defend herself (again, she's derpy, but no where near as bad as Ashley).

I'm not saying RE5 is any less of an action game, but being a fan of the RE lore, RE5 trumps RE4 in pretty much every way.

Though both fail horribly at being good RE style games.

I want my old RE back. :B

@Tatsudoshi I like survival horror games; I just could never get a handle on the tank controls. That may be part of the reason why people like RE4 so much, but I agree that 4 and 5 were less survival horror and more action. Survival horror games should make you afraid to continue at some points.

@stevechav No it isn't. Spencer was a fan of George Trevor's Architecture though so he based this mansion off the Arklay Mountain one. If you haven't played the Remake of RE1, Trevor is the man who designed the mansion under Spencer's orders. Traps and all.
