I listened to this via R.Luxembourg on 15350kHz SW

@FlavioGirl I listened back then. My dad had a shortwave radio. R.Luxembourg has two SW transmitters at Junglinster;one for the french service on 15350kHz at 50kW power using a directional beam to North America but this would fall over the UK at night on it's way there and another for the german service on 6090kHz at 50kW power using an omnidirectional beam that spread around the world. 6090kHz in the 49m band would regularly got the English Service transmissions at night 15350kHz never did.

also manchmal ist der esc echt scheisse : 1964 wurden die live aufnahmen nich gesendet weil ein mann auf die bühne lief und 1956 wurde nur der siegertitel gezeigt und die ergebnisse wurden geheim gehalten,echt traurig

OMG, I cannot believe "ERES TU" (@25:22) by Mocedades of Spain DIDN'T WIN EUROVISION 1973!!! The song became an ENORMOUS HIT WORLDWIDE!!!

Who can explain this voting system?

@shlmor Each country had two jury members, one aged between 16 and 25 and aged between 26 and 55. They each awarded 1 to 5 points for each song.

@dunbunter Interesting!!! But if one of them had 25 and the other 26, they were both very young... 26-55 is a too large interval...
