One of the most clever sequences that WB ever did. The use of the violin in place of the dialog is hysterical; tho no words are actually spoken, you can tell exactly what each character is saying. Classic!

Phil Monroe animated the "She wish to commit suicide to profe her love for me' scene; and almost all the pussycat and shop owner (their runs by Lloyd).
When i saw this uncut on Cartoon Network, back when they aired some of the shorts uncut, this scene did not frighten me at all, as i literally knew everything about guns, despite my young age during the time. I look back on this short now, as it is currently censored by today's Cartoon Network, and wonder what today's kids would think about this scene.
It's SO cute that Penelope gets all worried. but what's even cuter is Pepe while he's waiting outside for her cause he knows she likes him. :) I LOVE these two. <3

This is from the very first cartoon that Penelope was in and that she's always been able to talk.
