Seriously people socialism has failed, Nancy Pelosi has failed, this Administration has failed, our currupt political leaders have failed, the American people have won. Just look at what happened in November.
@TheyHearUsNow It depends on how you define socialism. Were these countries really socialist? Or were they under control by the Communist or Socialist Party (who call themselves "socialist", but really act on the Machiavellian side of things)? There is a difference. And, even if socialism did fail at least once, we can learn from our mistakes and try again.
The real death panels are the Republicunts - THEY BLOCKED THE BILL FOR THE HEALTHCARE OF THE 9/11 HEROS THAT WAS TO BE PAID FOR BY CLOSING THE TAX LOOPHOLES FOR FOREIGN CORPORATIONS WITH CONTRACTS WITH OUR GOVERNMENT. THE REPUBLICUNTS ARE THE DEATH KNELL OF AMERICANS. THEY ONLY REPRESENT FOREIGN CORPORATIONS.
What I respect most about Sen Bernie Sanders is his honesty and his commitment to his cause. I don't agree with him often but he's honest and knows who he is unlike the other members of the Progressive Caucus. Bernie Sanders knows he's a Democratic Socialist and not afraid to let the World know that. Unlike other Democratic Socialists who prefer to be called Progressives.
Americans will never be ready for a Bernie Sanders or Alan Grayson who are honest and direct. They can't handle direct to the point give it to em straight speakers-leaders.
Americans want bullshit artists like bill clinton.
@dajamesbomb2005 Grayson was in an ultra-conservative electorate and was elected as a backlash to Bush's shocking mismanagement....his election was outstanding in itself...his re-election in that kind of electorate would have been nothing short of a miracle. Grayson is clever and astute...I would certainly give him my vote.
@SocialistLiberal I'm with you. I think Grayson would make a successful candidate. He has the profile and the reputation as a fighter. Republicans didn't win the last mid terms....Democrats lost it. Scores of registered independents and Democrats didn't bother voting probably because they felt an overwhelming frustration that they weren't being represented with the vitality and commitment necessary to achieve the change this country needs.
@dajamesbomb2005 That frees him up to run for much higher office. Florida deserves what it gets, firing Grayson. They just got a taste of it with the oil spill.
@dajamesbomb2005 Losing an election hardly disqualifies from any future public office. Grayson lost because republicans despised him. That qualifies him as a perfect candidate in my book.

Answer: never. Americans love socialism but fear and hate the word.
The thing to do is to reform the Democratic Party from the grassroots up, just as the Regressives did with the Republican party.
