  • Old Black...

  • Once a great musician, always a great musician. God bless you Neil, thanks for all this music!

  • saw him at the Auckland BDO 2009. Fucking amazing live, one of the best I've seen, along with The Who

  • Pity you missed half of it, but you had a awesome vantage point. And Neil he's just a legend.

  • "Hate was just a legend, war was never known" -We love you Neil!!

  • Vraiment excellent !!

Merci pour la vidéo ! C'est exceptionnel !!!!!

    BigMama §:-)

  • Rock that stage, old man

  • Exceptional...!

    (thanks)

  • I was there six rows from the front. What a voice, what a performance and for an outdoor concert what a sound! Thank you thank you for posting this. Watching it gives me goosebumps. You should have taped the entire show! :D

  • I wish he wouldn't jump about so much

Don't get me wrong, this is one of my all time favorite songs, but I think i like the studio version better

  • great great video. He's playing with Ben Keith here. Neil's longtime co-guitarist. he died just recently. Neil's live shows will never be quite the same without him

  • Saying is Neil Young any good live?, is like saying was Leonardo Da Vinci a good painter. He is awesome.....

  • Beautiful! Great sound. Excellent performance of my FAV song by this Native American son.

  • glacias! mui bueno Neil Young ,performance very very good!

  • greatest artist ever, magical song and performance,,would give anything to have been there

  • my fav neil young track of all time heard it hundreds still moves me guitar blows you away,ps dave mathews band with warren haynes does a good cover

  • I was with Peter when he filmed this right beside him - Neil was awesome and YES the BEST BEST music event I have ever witnessed....NEIL YOUNG ROCKS

  • please please please tell me you have the end of the song somewhere????

  • thankyou so much for uploading this! i was there, 5meters right of center, front row. This song blew my mind. awesome!!!

  • Pretty nice video!

Love him for decades, but i saw him last year for the first time in concert.

    Very impressive...

This man doesn't play rock & roll he IS rock & roll on stage.

  • @yveslabrot yeh i same ..saw him 2008 ? 1st time...the critics/reviewers seemed to always describe his voice as 'reedy'.. Live I was blown away- what a barrel house rock vocalist he is .

  • are his backing guitarists stoned?

  • is HE stoned?

    :-)

  • indeed

  • 'The Electric Band' does no justice to the Crazy Horse era stuff. Rick Rosas is just awful on the "Horse" material. Come on Neil make another record and do another tour with Crazy Horse. I never thought i would see the day when Neil would be charging the astonishing prices for tickets and the price on the Archives box set is just ridiculous.

  • grande neil young

  • Nice video!

I'm going to see him this month, I really hope he plays this.

  • I does not get much better than this!!!

  • Amazing quality of vid...you're one lucky guy dude!!!

Neil Young's style on stage evokes memories of the 60~70's years...when music was hypnotic...most of his peers seemed to have mellowed down so far as swaying on stage etc is concerned...but Neil Young certainly hasn't and that just completes it for the avid fan! \m/

I just wish you would've uploaded the entire vid for Cortez though... :(

  • good vid mate, what a champ

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man, I have goosebumps sitting at my computer! You must have been near death after experiencing it in such proximity =D

  • i seen neil last year in malahide castle dublin was a terrific gig, would be going to see him in the point this year only for i'll be in slane for oasis which is unfortunate. Personally i think he'll outshine Springsteen at glastonbury and show everyone who the real boss is. His music is timeless whether its the grungy rock or acoustic folk he's absoloutely faultless, although i love springsteen, no one can out rock neil young

  • Hes playing at glastonbury festival this year and i have a ticket for it is he any good live ? i saw him about 7 years ago and he was pretty poor.

  • I would say that was the best live performance I have ever seen. He rocks as good as he ever has. If he plays anything like that set list with that passion at Glastonbury you are in for a treat. Do yourself a favour and get to the front. I have been a live music afficinado all my life. That just knocked Jeff Buckley 1996 and The Clash 1981 off their top postions. Hope I see something that good again one day. Maybe this is the year to go to Glastonbury.

  • Thanks for the reply yeh i think im gonna go see him when he plays glastonbury this year. They have some good bands booked already for glastonbury this year theyve got bruce springsteen on friday night, neil young on saturday night, blur on sunday night and cosby stills and nash so maybe there will be a cosby stills nash and young reunion. Theres also talk about fleetwood mac playing.

  • i saw him this year he wet off for a old dude i thourt he was going to be crap

  • Goosebumps through this one. Very good version - thanks for the share!

  • LEGEND !

  • Long live the king

  • saw him at melb sounds just as good, this song also being my favourite

  • I saw at Melb too...i didn't really rate this song but hearing it live it is now one of my fave Neil songs...

  • Saw his show at the Entertainment centre last night....simply amazing...keep on rockin!

  • Just realised this is the Gold coast footage, brillant!!

  • Great video - it was an amazing performance... you didn't by any cahnce get 'Hey Hey, My My' did you? :)

  • Coming soon.

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Thank you for posting this, when he did this at the Gold Coast my hair was standing on end, superb

  • i was fighting back tears lol!

i was close enough to see the wrinkles on the back of his hands!

he really does cross the generational barrier, there were people my age (20) up to about my dad's age around where i was standing.

they don't make them like that anymore.

  • Nice comment.

I DID have tears in my eyes when he played this song in Sydney.

And Im proberly the age of your dad 45

I also noticed all the young folk at this "oldies concert".

Your right they dont make em like this guy.

    Rock on you young'ens
