GREAT VIDEO GREAT SONG. THESE CLASSIC MONSTERS ARE THE REASON I LOVE HORROR TO THIS DAY. ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LOVE THESE FILMS AND UNDERSTAND THEIR IMPACT AND IMPORTANCE CANNOT TRULY CALL THEMSELVES A HORROR FAN.
Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Wolf Man ( Lon Chaney Jr.) Claude Rains The Invisible Man, Boris Karloff (The Mummy) @ Frankenstein and Bela Lugosi as Dracula
The Count has his Mina, The Monster his Bride, The Gill-Man his Kay, the Phantom's Christina, Kharis his Anaka & the Hunchback's Esmerelda, all of them just wanted love, except for Griffen & Hyde, they were just psychopaths & Talbot wanted death most of all, but you dont get human emotions in horror films anymore, it's sad
all classic horror fans, listen up! we do horror/comedy skits where we are classic monsters such as the wolfman, frankenstein, phantom of the opera, dr jekyll and mr hyde, ect! come check our movie, trailers, and behind the scenes footage out and leave your feedback!!
also I really enjoyed you tribute at the end, (and throughout) of your video to all of those great Universal character actors & actresses who added so much dimension to these films. however, serious oversights on your part failed to include the great Una O'Connor, Basil Rathbone (yes, he was seen to our backs knocking the Frankenstein monster into the sulphur pit) as well as Lionel Atwill (again, a very quick scene with his back mostly to the camera).
@beattleBob Regrettable omissions that I was aware of as I made them. The end tribute is built into themed sections of six clips -- one per monster -- and focuses mostly on the original film in which the monster appeared (with the exception of the Bride of Frankenstein). I couldn't readily fit in Atwill, Rathbone, or Una. I had trouble squeezing in Maria Ouspenskaya, in fact (although I'm glad I did). As for the rest of the vid, well... it's more about the monsters in the end.
Nice tribute, however some big omissions on Universal horror greats. Henry Hull as the "Werewolf of London." Glenn Strange as the Frankenstein monster, John Carradine as Count Dracula, Lon Chaney Jr. deserved at least one clip as Son of Dracula and any of his Mummy appearances. Biggest mistake: omitting the Man Of A Thousand Faces -the genius of Lon Chaney Sr. as Erik - The Phantom of the Opera. Doesn't matter if this was a silent movie . It's a Universal horror classic and monster legend.
@beattleBob I agree that all of the mentioned monsters deserve their moment. In its original conception, the scope of this vid included all of those and more, but eventually I decided to narrow it to the six monsters here, which fit in nicely with the structure of the song.
I really want to put together videos like this; I think I'd be good at it. The problem is I'm mostly computer illiterate (I don't even have a Face Book page); can you advise me on how to create something like this?
@ghostofjealousy78 I totally hear you--there's so much emotion in these characters and the geniuses who played them. Every clip brings back tons of memories.
hello there i'm a classic horror fan from brazil and i want to ask you... can i use this video to do a montage with a song of my band??? Your montage are great dude and sure...you'll be credited in the video =) thx a lot see ya later Greetings from the home of the gill-man Sorry about my english -Paul Rikky Talbot
@MonkeyWithJetpacks Nosferatu is indeed a classic monster, however since this is tribute to Universal Studios horror films, Nosferatu is NOT a Universal studios film.
I collected all these monster models when I was a kid- I was a huge horror fan of the classics- I really enjoyed this thanks- I remember every scene- and the song wasn't bad either!
I think the song could also be dedicated to The Creature from Black Lagoon...since it's more of a "love interest" between the creature and the woman.
Oh and also the Mummy as well. I believe that the song suits for both films >:D After all, they both are looking for someone to love. Hehe, even the monsters need love too!
For me, these films are pretty much the light that helped me get through preadolescence. A dark theme wouldn't really have suited what I was trying to say.
Two thumbs up,and more if I had more, for this collection of clips of the greatest monsters to ever grace the movie screen. Thanks for sharing it with us.
How did you upload this video with this track? Isn't the music copyrighted and banned from use on yt? Sorry it this is not a direct comment about your music video its just I'm really curious because I've tried and failed several times now to upload my own video with this same song. Please help!
I didn't really forget it -- it just wasn't in the scope of the vid. I deliberately went for the six major sound-era monsters of Classic Universal, which fit neatly with the song's tempo and arrangement. My next "ode to horror" vid, which will track the whole of the genre, will have a clip from the silent Phantom.
OMLOG!!!! I have no clue what in blazes gave you teh idea to mix this song with such a theme, but it was SUPERB!!!!! NEVER DELETE IT! Iloved it!!1 X) that like made my day right there
Like the song or not, it really works for the moment. Very, very touching. Reminds me of all the hard times when my favourite monsters were around to cheer me up. And the last montage of all the actors is brilliant.
A very touching tribute. The final montage of familiar faces before the monsters was somthing I wish I could have put into my tribute. Simply beautiful!
Yeah, the monsters are nothing without their supporting players. I just wish I could've fit good ol' Lionel Atwill or Una O'Connor in that final montage.
This is awesome. You should feel awesome for making it.

Often when you watch these movies you feel more sympathy for the monster than for the obnoxious 30's and 40's people.

What about The Golem (not Smeagol...Golem with a long o.) 1915?
Hoopermazing 2 years ago 3
Neither the 1915 or 1920 Golem are on the current list, but I will probably have some additional room for more movies and if I do, Der Golem goes in.

Here's the main reasons why I love it:
1. Its heart warming.
2. It allows you to remember the older clasic films from way back.
3. It adds something special to it with the music.
