I want to say, headline maneuvers on the road, instead inside the land, is very disgusting to the rest people go through the road, i don't like it, in my own opinion is a bad technique... it's a selfish technique...
I think the same that it is sand because in Poland on good ground I need 30 HP for one corp of plow. For this plow it should be tractor about 250 HP minimal.
I've never seen a pushed plow here in the states. I think our soil for the most part is too dense and moist. It'd take a hell of a tractor to even try, and then it would only be 2 or 3 rows wide. Interesting.
@smacman68 ....Amen brother!.....We don't plow anymore but when we did we pulled a 5 bottom - 2 way plow and it was all our 4840 wanted!!!! And that thing was turning out right at 200 hp!!
@money4082 Because the road is there and it's easily accessible. Why is it bad style? Seems like a good idea to me. Turn on the road instead of compacting the headland.
@yngwieisking Because there are places (for example where I live) where it is forbidden to turn on the road! And it is since a lot of time; before tractors were being used!
to turn over the road, and dirty it... I dont know anybody that worh of ths way... No me jodas hombre... manchando la carretera por dejar el desorille pequeño... sera suya la carretera... amos hombre... no me jodas....
we used to have a fendt tool carrier 115 hp with 3 and 5 furrow overum it struggled on the hills of wiltshire so we had to drop a furrow then it was fine. eventually it kept blowing the rings on the pots. Great days!!!
chez nous c'est pire tu peux enlever la charrue tout simplement parce que sinon tu fais un élevage de caillasse ....comme quoi dépendamment de la région ou tu es être céréalier c'est plus ou moins agréable et facile ^^
@dracolyth thats proberly because the land you refer to has never seen a real plough. a plough in the US is what we would call minimal tillage. with all the compaction you cause over the years + dry weather with doing this and not breaking up the ground properly ever year, im not surprised you would need a big tractor to plough properly. id be surprised if the plough even went in the ground.

Nice plowing, but why using the road way for turning, that is bad style.
If you cant handle the plow on the field then dont.

Bad tractor driving!
Why does it take so long to make a turn?
tod3k 2 years ago
it takes more space for a 4 wheel drive to turn around because of the shorter turning radius due to the more cumbersum houseings on the front axel.
