I think that the guy didn't kick the cat in an excessively violent manner. It wasn't exactly delicate, but not overtly violent anyway. It was for its own good, as the dog might just realize soon afterwards "hey, this thing can fit perfectly in my mouth, much more than vice versa, why was I afraid to begin with?"
About the rottweiler issue, dogs will in general behave well if they are properly cared. Some individual dogs may be more difficult to deal with, but there are plenty of nice rotts.
The cat may have had kittens in the area. I was in my friends backyard and witnessed the same thing. The dog was three times the size of the cat(she had kittens) she went right for the eyes. I did not see it but I sure heard it. The dog had to go to the vet. One of the eyes almost got pulled out. It's remarkable the eye survived the cat went to the pound and the kittens given away.

Lions and Tigers are CATS. What is the difference between a small dog like a Yorkie, and your Bull Terrier? size. Domestic felis cat is a small cat (house cat); Tiger is a big cat. A 100 pound female Leopard would tear your dog to shreds. You are a fool to compare a small cat to a large dog.. I think that the guy didn't kick the cat in an excessively violent manner. It wasn't exactly delicate, but not overtly violent anyway. It was for its own good, as the dog might just realize soon afterwards "hey, this thing can fit perfectly in my mouth, much more than vice versa, why was I afraid to begin with?"
About the rottweiler issue, dogs will in general behave well if they are properly cared. Some individual dogs may be more difficult to deal with, but there are plenty of nice rotts.

The cat may have had kittens in the area. I was in my friends backyard and witnessed the same thing. The dog was three times the size of the cat(she had kittens) she went right for the eyes. I did not see it but I sure heard it. The dog had to go to the vet. One of the eyes almost got pulled out. It's remarkable the eye survived the cat went to the pound and the kittens given away.

Cats aren't built for raw fighting against larger creatures, so it would just have swiped at the nose/eyes in defense and then made a run for it, so it doesn't really matter.

Domestic cats are one species of cat. Cats in general include Tigers, Lions, etc...so the largest dog could never take on a similar sized cat. Put a Rott against a Leopard and the Rott is dinner. Put a Yorkie against a house Cat and the Yorkie will be severely injured. Comparing house cats to large dogs is idiotic.
