Willemijn will always hold a special place as my favourite Elphaba. She is the person to inspire me to learn both German and Dutch. Also, she's the best Elphaba that Wicked's ever seen ans is likely to ever see. As Roberta said in her leaving speach, Willemijn doesn't play Elphaba, she is Elphaba. And it's lovely to see this early incarnation of her version of Elphaba, to get to see what she kept and what she changed. Thanks for the upload.

Fabulous as always. I really hope I get to see her in the Dutch production. :D I just know she's going to be awesome.

willemijn is the best in everything else though.

anyways her job was much easier than idina's was since she had lots of material to work with. she also had the advantage of performing in german which is a stronger language than english to begin with.

she is definitely technically the best and also has one of the best interpretation of elphaba. her weakness is that she's not feminine enough (especially in so lang ich dich hab, listen to idina's version where she actually sounds like a woman), a little bit too aggressive (especially in gutes tun, where she seemed completely angry instead of being resigned/frustrated of her fate) and not crazy enough at points (specifically in defying gravity where idina really bring out the fear/excitement)

so often the role of elphaba gets overacted, or the actress just goes for volume/power. i like willemijn's version because it seems so honest, and she's put a lot of thought into it. if i could give her twenty stars, i would.

I love the facial expressions she makes as she sings. And her voice is as always, stunning and definitely one of my favourites. Also I love the cast's faces in the background when she really just nails a note or is super enthusiastic and they're all grinning.

There are lots of people who think that Idina is automatically the best, just because she was FIRST.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I still think the OBC was great and wonderful, but the German cast is AMAZING.
