Brian, can you be honest and tell us how much time you put into rehearsal of these displays? Looking at your collection and knowing your musical ability, it seems you spend countless hours "doing" what it is you do. Thanks in advance!
@KermTN Thanks... when I started in Sept 08, I put lots of time into it... but the past year or more, it all has to do with how much time I have to bag, and that is minimal...
It always varies. Of course, I jam to the song before I film it. This one was just a matter of working out a few ins and outs of sections and a few definitive patterns.. and then it's improv all over the place... The hardest one was, wait maybe this one... some of the others had fewer "parts".....
Brian - seriously...IS THERE ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN'T DO AMAZINGLY WELL?!?!?!?! YOU DA MAN!! I'm so thrilled I got to meet you before you became such a monster in the music world back when you were 16 yrs old and kicking A** back then!! I even got the DVD of Foreigner just to say - "Yeah, I know that awesome drummer!
Thanks Dee! But I am sticking to mostly basic advanced on this, not advanced advanced! I am always inspired by your punching ability! We will meet someday!
Thanks a lot! I am working on it. But you also need to watch clips of Alan Kahn, Speed Bag Skunk, Dee Pooler, Speed Bag Scissorhands, Paulie' D, The Baggist, Showtime Johhny Pal, and the rest of the insane cast of Psycho Baggers posting cool speed bag clips!
dude that is outta control! great work. I love the transition to triplets when it goes to the shuffle and all the rest. you are a madman! this is bloozy by the way.
Thanks Tim! But I didn't put any back and forth 4 way elbows in on one rebound! That ain't easy! Keeping time on the bag is one of the advantages of being a drummer. The bag is all about rhythm and consistency. It can also be all about force and power but the combo of the two rules!
yeahhhhhhhh thats a awesome song!!!! Great video brother!! your gettin better and better every video.. maybe you should hold up hahaha" i used to tear that song up on guitar hero.
Thanks Skunk! Means a lot coming from you! Now that you've torn this up on Guitar Hero, you should try the real thing and tear it up on a Les Paul! It's more fun than guitar hero will ever be! Thanks bro! BAG ON!
Man, that is the best unofficial video for a kansas song!!
