@SoGalCal You are entitled to your opinion. All I am saying is she could try some other genres to see what she IS good at. The more she can show that she can do the better. Being versatile just gives you more opportunities. You may not want a plumber doing a roofers job, but if he was skilled at both, wouldn't that be better than calling two separate repairmen? Drew is a good singer and has talent, but when you are an artist you should be versitile and be able to sing any genre of music and not just stay in your comfort zone. Her voice kind of reminds me of Stevie Nicks in a way, which isn't a bad thing, but Drew needs to let loose once in a while and take risks.

I didn't know there will come a time when I'd say listen to Paula, but Paula is the most sensible judge there right now--and I hope Drew listens to Paula and mix things up a bit. She doesn't have to go really fast, midtempo is fine. Midtempo will make a difference already. Think of "slow" artists that have midtempo songs--Sarah McLachlan, Cat Power, Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, and herself (when she sang Creep and Like a Star in X Factor Bootcamp).
