  • I could this track on a Robert Rodriguez Movie soundtrack

  • @BM151 Totally !!! it would fit in perfectly with his style...

  • @theduerklam me too

  • i used to be the biggest queens fan ever i owned everything by them i owned all their unreleased shit too, then i went through a sort of rough patch and started listening to elliott smith and got heavily into him and kinda got away from listening to queens and kyuss and desert sessions, eodm etc. i just got back into qotsa and this is one of the first songs i listened to, after how to handle a rope and fatso forgotso

  • @peacelovemusic2461 Start from their first album and work your way down. You won't regret it.

  • @kshay89 oh trust me id never but i actually already own all their albums, and i own the old version of the self titled, things fucking killer, the riff to mexicola just melts your eardrums

  • Such a Terrintino sound, love it. Awesomely versatile band :)

  • reminds me of the doors :D

not the usual qotsa sound but I like it

  • you took a ring and pawned our love away/what can I say, I am left behind/so I take a drink, another cigarette/I can’t forget that you once were mine//What can I say?/I guess it wasn’t meant to be/but now you’re gone/it’s just, your love is like a drug

  • the best thing you can listen to while walking home about 4.30am in a warm night.

  • @therealnapster94 i know what you mean. feels epic, like Tarantino-Epic

  • @therealnapster94 lol yea

  • I guess it wasn’t meant to be

    Now you’re gone,

It’s just, your love is like a drug

  • I fucking love this song♥ Amazingly beautiful.

  • @sanjurodog it's just you... and me :D

  • @kanserstyx frightening. lmfao

  • it fits so good with me and my situation...i love it

  • Omfg sooo bored after listening this song xd

  • This song is the perfect drug..to lull me to sleep in a wonderful, calming way..

    QOTSA, Naturally!

  • It's interesting, I like Homme's voice better on the Desert Sessions version but the instrumentation feels more fleshed out on this one. I can't decide which I prefer.

  • @ruairaidh Both of the versions are great in different ways. So i prefer both.

  • This song ain't from Queens Of The Stone Age.

It is a great song, compossed by Homme at '99 in the Desert Sessions, it's between the volumes 5 & 6 I think.

    Great song!

I recomend you all to listen to the Desert Sessions.

  • @karnicericimo

    Yeah!

  • If Elvis were ginger and alive today, he would sound like this

  • @McFlyYouSlacker Er i don't reckon so.... Elvis was blond and showed as much musical and creative imagination as you would expect from a blond who dyes their hair black

  • @afin73 woah woah woah, don't hate on elvis, he's at least a decent artist, unlike the stuff they play now on pop radio stations.

  • Pure sex

  • I'm making a pact with myself, to do all I can to loose my virginity to this song.

  • @aaabbbeee great choice!!

  • @aaabbbeee great choice

  • "The UK version of the album has a couple of songs we won't be seeing on the US release" "The first song, 'Like A Drug' is elevated from one of the Desert Sessions discs and sounds like a song recorded in the late 50’s or early 60’s; the cover of ZZ Top’s “Precious and Grace” is an intense, earthquake of a song. With Billy Gibbons and Mark Lanegan exchanging vocals, this one would have been the perfect bookend to the opener. The US release is poorer for the absence"

  • sounds like (the doors)

  • this is so doors . love it .

  • desert sessions ,with the guitars !?!! jep

or else it would be dessert sessions ,wich would also be kinda cool jeah

  • to me this song is the king of psychedelia.

  • this is from one of the desert session cds im pretty sure. not lullabies to paralyze

  • This song was on desert sessions 5&6 and the Lullabies to Paralyze LIMITED TOUR EDITION edition. The guy posting this has the wrong album cover.

  • Songs in this vein... You've got a killer scene there man, interlude with ludes, make it whicu. All just Josh at his sexiest. Girls definitely want to have sex to those songs.

  • the desert sessions version is way better than this one.

the dark-surf reverb tone is lost in this version.

  • personally i like the desert sessions version better. sounds sadder

  • it's a desert session song, wtf?

  • I think this is pretty good, but I love the Desert Sessions version more :)

  • girl, you'll be a woman soon.

  • Reminds me of the song that's playing in Dusk Till Dawn when Salma Hayek is dancing.

  • @Opt1on 0o

  • Ahh great song! Hard to decide if the Desert Sessions or this one is better.....

  • Excellent!

  • @moirystoirm

Yeah I'm not a fan of their live music either but they're still my favorite band.

  • Queens! Yeah!

  • Beautiful lyrics, hypnotic vocals, sexy guitar, good old-fashioned sound, THATS the Queens that I love!

  • @DarkFairy003

    so true

  • How fuckin good are the queens??? Vastly underrated, probably the most versatile band around - bar none!!

  • agree, totally agree, when stone temple pilots came to Mexico last year, i was spoken with some guys about who is the greatest band since last 10 years, and we all agree with the queens of the stone age, amazing band.

  • @Son7Sam666 I would remember they get alot of help from the desert sessions people as well and outside influences, its not just josh homme and troy

  • @Son7Sam666 yeah i agree with you. but i can't decide if i like kyuss more or not. it depends what mood i'm in.

  • @Son7Sam666 You don't listen to much music, do you?

  • @cannabisabuser Why would you assume something like that?

  • Big mistake not to put this on the original cd

  • this is on a dessert sessions album (josh hommes side project), though its another version, i like this one better.

  • @BrixSnBs agree

  • yeea... sittin in a dark smokey bar and get drunk... lisen to this song and try to get over that women... youre addicted with...like a drug... good song

  • SQUID EAT YOUUUU BITCH

  • My CD didn't come with this song dammit! It came in my cousins though.

  • sounds like the doors awsome song.

  • What... was this a hidden song?! i don't remember it.

  • This song belongs in a Tarantino flick

  • lol exactly what i've been thinkin

  • yh i think this has bin developed from flamenco with a twist of queens style drug rock lol

  • i love the style of the song.

it reminds me of a certain style, i just don't know the name :D it's like ... "this sounds like something, i just don't know what..."

can someone help me ? xD

  • It reminds me about the retro times. Like in smoky night club. 60s or sth like this. I know what you mean because i have similar feeling :)

  • oh, yes, that's pretty much it :)

  • flamenco maybe?

  • ahhh this sounds like one of those songs you get high to!

    i love it!

  • Great remake of the Desert Sessions version.

  • kinda reminds me of black magic woman........ the bluesy, sandy, deserty, orgy, softy, wavy, hawaiian, night-time love song-typey song. very powerful behind the soft guitar and bluesy bass.

    FIGHT THE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • isn't this on the desert sessions ? or am i missing something and there is more than one version of Lullabies ?

  • Yeah, it's kinda like Fun Machine, It was on the Vinyl though

  • It is a track off of Vol. 6 Poetry For The Masses and a newer recording was included on the deluxe edition, UK, Mexican and Japanese versions of Lullabies.

  • the bass is similar to suture up your future
