That was really cute... And then I cringed when the dog started licking the bird. Dog, cat and human saliva is toxic to birds because of a bacteria in it. Your bird could've been really sick, or have died.

...I even heard of a Doberman-Bitch that started to produce milk for a little kitten someone had thrown over the fence of a friend`s garden - obviously to get rid of it, but the dog adopted it!
