Two of my heros come from New Zealand, Burt and John, if you gotta ask the last name you don't need to know. And you guys race sprint cars, what the hell more could a man ask for.
I first saw this movie in a small theatre in the ski resort town of Breckenridge, Colorado...(a town of 'tree-huggers' and outdoorsy types, and definitely not gear heads). At the end of the movie the entire audience stood up and applauded! I don't think there was a dry eye in the place.
Absolutely, one of the FINEST movies I have ever seen!
Love the movie.. Love your video and music! Watch it while I work out on the treadmill! The power of his bike makes me realize I was born in the right century able to enjoy the rush between man and machine! Nothing like the excitement of putting the hammer down and as well, to follow your dreams where they may lead!
END SHINY INDIA TO END TERROR. Indian arrogance and appetite of WAR can only be stopped by hitting where it hurt most. If they attack Pak, the PAK should attack, Indian Call centers, Tourist centers, Power grids, Nuke facilities, airports, Underground, bridges, Investment centers, Ports, Satellites and every facilities that fuel Indian terror, financially or militarily. Bring them back to 1857. Pak don't have much to lose but the bas**red on your East have a dream that will be become a NIGHTMARE
Hi Shug; at first watch I was a bit anoyed at no hearing the bike etc., but warmed to the track overdub after a few minutes! Sounds a bit like Leo Kottke at the ending?
Had a BELL helmet same as Burt's, which unfortunately split in two parts when I crashed my Seeley at Nutt's Corner. It did save my nut though.........
Just saw this flick last night...If the movie portrayal of Burt is accurate, what a hell of a guy. Great love for life is definitely him...The speed world definitely lost someone special...

Anybody tell me the name of the track/artist that starts on the beach? Contrary to some comments, I think it adds to the clip.
But what do i know. I'm just an old rocker......

Ha! You must be my old mate GP that's drank with me, raced with me, worked with me, been to funerals with me and boogied all over Ayrshire with me.
You're bugger all use at finding tracks though!
Don't think its Leo Kottke at the end. I've tried searching for " the Final Try" and various derivates.
For all bikers....... ride safe and often.
