  • @BennySiegel90 Ludendorff was never a member of the Nazi party. He wrote countless articles and held speeches against Hitler, he did risk his life on many occasions. Read his articles in Ludendorff´s Volkswarte. And in 1929 he wrote in "Ein Weltkrieg droht" he will never support Hitler in his crimes and a new war. And Ludendorff was not a bitter man, his enemies write stupid things like that, read his books and articles, he never lost his spirit, his wirtings of cours were sarcastic.

  • Hitler started the Bee Hall Putsch, when it already was about to fail Hitler sent some men to Tutzing, small village near Munich where Ludendorff lived and they asked Ludendorff to help. Ludendorff went to Munich released the Bavarian politicians Hitler had taken in custody and Ludendorff who realized they had no chance to win ordered all men to stop the putsch and march to the Feldherrenhalle where Ludendorff intented to give a speech and wanted to send everyone home.

  • @BennySiegel90 Ludendorff died in 1937: He did warn Hitler not to make war. He predicted The New World Order as a worldwide dictatorship and men will be enslaved and have to work for without being paid. Lenin was sent to Russia by diplomats of Foreign ministery, the OHL only let him through the lines at FM request, Ludendorff later told he had no idea who Lenin is. US government sent Trotzki from US to Russia, do you get it?! GERMAN A N D US government sent communists to Russia!

  • @MrAlGator

He was a bitter man who lost power in the party. Only reason he warned Hitler was to make himself seem important and relevant in the 30s. You are right about the fact that many nationalists like him considered czechs and poles bigger issue for Germany than the enormous Russia with unlimited resources. He would have supported Hitler regarding Poland. This I am very sure off.

  • great general my ass

just another "great general" of that time who would send his soldiers into the certain death of the new weapons of WW1

not one general of WW1 should be regarded as great

they had no respect for their soldiers which they sent to certain death, again and again

  • @TyonKree Check out the siege of liege. Ludendorff took personal command and fought in the streets of liege in 1914. When the commander of the 14th brigade was killed. The man had no need to prove his bravery.

  • When Germans started to sign the letters with "Heil Hitler" , Ludendorff signed his official and private mail with "Es lebe die Freiheit!" He protested in his newspaper and in public against burning of books, the concentration camps, the boycott of Jewish stores and the arresting of Socialists and Communists after the Reichstagsbrand. After 1945 many forgot about this.

  • Important figures of the second reich, The Kaiser himself, Great Generals Hindenburg, Ludendorff, and Mackensen, lived for enough time to see or even had relations with the third Reich. All of them were finally disillusioned with Hitler, although the Kaiser had a chance to congratulate Hitler when he successfully occupied France, an achievement he himself could not make during his reign as the Emperor of Germany. Mackensen had the longest age, allowing him to see the ruin of the third reich.

  • in 1933 he wrote to hindenburg- you dud a terible thing by appointing hitler as prime minister

this man is the greatest demaguge of all times and will destroy germany

  • he warned about hiltler'

dusnt live to see he was right

  • @hagai2222 ??

  • @Patriot1418

hagai2222 was referring to Erich Ludendorff's warning to Paul von Hindenburg upon learning of Hitler's appointment as Chancellor. His words were as follows:

"By appointing Hitler Chancellor of the Reich, you have handed over our sacred German Fatherland to one of the greatest demagogues of all time. I prophesy to you this evil man will plunge our Reich into the abyss and will inflict immeasurable woe on our nation. Future generations will curse you in your grave for this action."

  • @hagai2222

    He cooperated with Hitler!

But he was dropped by Hitler, since he didn´t cherished point of view.

He was as power-mad as all the others!

  • @hagai2222

He might have died anyway had he seen the full horror of his prophecy come to pass.

  • @Keruaran

He wasn't himself while older. If he had been he would have advise Hitler to seak peace with the west and a possibility of a joint war effort against Russia/USSR. But it would have been embarrasing to attack against the state he helped to create by approving Lenin's trip back to Russia.

  • @hagai2222 What? Ludendorff participated in the Beer Hall Putsch.

  • One of the greateat sons of my people
