  • FUNNY face he made haha.

  • It's a Grammer. Just google Grammer Guitars and all will be revealed.

  • That's right - Porter's Grammer guitar. Faron in rare form, as always. Yup, as Cajun Troubadours said, Vassar and Mac on fiddles - two of the best. Great clip.

  • It is a Martin!

  • Right, TelePrinceton. It's a Grammer. I'm lucky enough to have one.

  • It's a Grammer guitar from Nashville.

  • From the Head of the Guitar it looks more like and Epiphone to me ~But could be a Gibson~ Definitly One of the all Time Greats ~I had the Pleasure of booking Fraon and his Band into Portland OR back in 1969 ~I was 20 Years old at the time ~We became great friends and I'll NEVER forget when we were in the penthouse alone over Taylors Viewpoint ~There was a Grand Piano there also and after talking for a while~Faron got up and went over there~Sat down and Played and Sang SanFranCisco, He was GREAT

  • I think its a Gibson not really sure. He must have borrowed it from Porter notice the strap.

  • wat kind of guitar is faron playing?

  • A great stylist and top country star, he did like to be the centre of attention though, an extrovert confident and fun guy .

When he slipped from the top he couldn't handle it, then we lost a legend way to early from his own hand. very sad .

  • im looking to make a video for my mother of faron wher can i get videos like this one?

  • that's from the Porter Wagoner Show

  • Faron's last big country recording (1969). Thanks for post.

  • A jazzier version of original recording. This has to be best of all. GREAT!!

  • Thanks for uploading! A great book to read about Faron is Live Fast Love Hard Die Young- The Faron Young Story by Diane Diekman

  • Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. Don't know what else to write, old school country is the best and Faron was top of the heap.

  • 0:51 funniest face ever

  • Hey that's Vassar!!!

  • What great fiddling from two of the best sidemen in the business, Mack Magaha who was in Porter Wagoner's band and Vassar Clements who played a good while with Faron Young. Mack died August 15, 2003, and Vassar August 16, 2005. Another great fiddler, Rufus Thibodeaux died August 12, 2005.
