  • I like the way this looks way more than I like the Full bumper camaros that people put split bumpers on.

  • awesome car dude :)

  • @lobzdik .... Yes it's a pkg an RS pkg ... So any 70-73 camaro with an RS pkg will have the round parking/ turn signal lights beside the headlights .... But note they are not dual headlights

  • hey mate, could you help me out. im trying to figure out which of these early 70s Camaros had the twin headlights and which didn't, were they a package or something? thanks! awesome looking ride btw

  • I'm a Ford guy but that's a sweet ass Camaro you got but it looks more sexy with split bumper. 2nd generation Camaro is the best, 1st & 5th generation Camaro is too ugly.

  • Nice looking car! I've got a 73 myself I've been working on for years.

  • nice car... i am currently working on my 1970 camaro, all i have left to do is drop the motor in it

  • beautiful car

  • sweet car..i happen to have a 70 1/2 that doesnt exist. factory steel wide fenders front and rear...factory traction bars..and heres the the kicker..factory 454..1 of 18 ever made..trw built the motor shipped it to detroit and installed it on the line..they were built for road racing...anyway sweet ride!!

  • You can shift this engine as high as 8000 rpm , but horsepower is in the 7200 range with the GM off road cam. 70 is solid lifter . O stamp on rockers . Pushing 2.02 stainless swirl polished valves . TRW 11-1 pistons , pink shot peened and Magna-fluxed rods .

  • I have a true 1970 4 speed , M21 , 5:13 factory special order rear . No power steering , 18,000 mile . Fries the tires , turns 12.60s on 10" wrinkle walls . 1970 LT-1 , best of GM parts at the time .

  • i hate to see how unpopular these models are compared to the other ones. But BUT BUT they are starting to get more value as they are getting rarer and rarer. Cant wait to see how much my dads 70 maro (on my profile) will be worth.

  • believe it or not i learned how to drive a standard in one of these cars. it was even the same color. it had the small lip rear spoiler a solid lifter cam shaft and a good old mechanical clutch . i remember the car handling quite well and when it hooked up man was it fast. felt like a lot more than 375 ponies under the hood as well. going from 2 into third it would still pull some pretty cool scracth. even chirp from 3rd to fourth. m22 rock crusher 373 gears big harmonic balancer. ah memories.

  • nice car

  • Very nice car. Beautiful!!!

  • wow nice car

  • I used to own one of those. I liked the way it drove better compared to my 1968 Firebird. The second gen cars weren't as well liked because of the styling so the prices for them aren't as high, but they were better performance cars IMO.

  • 1970-73 was the greatest looking camaro in my opinion

  • @motlencore89 i couldnt agree more. I had a 72 as my high school car back in the 80's.

  • cool car

  • I always dream I have cars this nice and wake up angry that it was only a dream

  • Nice car !

  • great looking & sounding Camaro...! I have a 71 love them 2nd Gens...!

  • What a beauty!!!!

  • Mother of god

  • I'm a Mustang guy, but if you ask me this camaro is the nicest of all the camaros, followed by the 1985 IROC and 2002 SS. 69s are fuckin ugly.

  • @trevinboy way too common. at car shows you see 1 70 and sometimes there not even one. but you see 500 1 gens

  • i want dat car bad

  • nice car too bad in a convertible

  • I'd like to have that car but fuck that motor, I'd drop in an LS7 in it.

  • To hell with the LS7, I'll put in an LSX 454.

  • Yeah and that would suck down gas like no tomorrow. You wouldn't even be able to use all that power. You wouldn't be able to put down 600+ hp. The ls7 is efficient (not that it matters that much) and hauls ass. That's why the corvette zo6 was such a hit. Everyone raves about that engine

  • Gas mileage isn't something I worry about.

My daily driver is is '50 chevy 454.

Driven it since I was 17.

  • Nice Ride! 2nd Gen Maro's are awesome, check out mine on my profile and comment ! :D

  • i have a 1970 z28, canary yellow no stripes yet, and to coolkid is it the line that is leaking or the carb that is leaking, if its the carb just get a new one they're cheap

  • the line i think it is

  • What are these cars worth?I had a 1970.5 split bumper 350,console,etc,I sold for $500 in 1990.(still ran,lol)

  • It depends on the condition, market at the time of sale, and how bad the buyer wants it. In this business, the fact that it ran means little. A new drivetrain is usually the least expensive part of a restoration. Rust repair and bodywork is where the money goes. The better the body condition, the more the car is worth, because that is money saved during resto.

At the time you sold yours, Camaros were not in very high demand. Today, in the same condition, yours would probably have fetched more

  • @800hotrod5 That would explain how a relative of mine got a '68 RS/SS 350 in '87, as a 17 yr old. Weird how things change I guess. Plus I'm not sure what condition it was in originally.

  • @kiplingroad1 a 1970/5 is the RAREST camaro there isespecially with the split bumper

  • @kiplingroad1 I got an offer for mine without paint for 15,500 but its a little different youtube - "71 ls6"

  • what did i write tho

  • If your's is the post i deleted, I am referring to the use of foul language. I will let pass the occasional use of a bad word, but when I deem that the poster has gone beyond the bouds of good taste, i delete the comment. Repeated offenses will get the person blocked.

  • Please clean up the language if you are going to post here. Thanks.

  • Anyone who criticizes the styling of the 701/2 camaro has his head up his ass. The car was styled in the classic GTO style of long nose and short rear deck after arguably the most beautiful production car in history the Ferrari Daytona 365GTB4

  • I thought I had this arguement settled, but I obviously forgot to post here. My friend decided to pull a prank on me while I was in the bathroom. I actually own a 1970 chevrolet Nova, I just finished putting a 454 in it. Now my 454 has two holly 750's, Edelbrock heads, and loads of other goodies. About a year ago I dropped a 6 speed manuel tranny in it. Anyway all I have to do now is connect the fuel pump, alternator and add the rad, before I fire it up.

Oh and my friend owns the civic not me ;)

  • 70-72 are my favorite years.

The famous '69 is probably my second favorite.

  • you jealous retard

  • hey pito largo your nuts, i don't think that an ugly model camaro exists, mustangs yes but no camaros

  • All the 80's Camaros were ugly wedge square shapes 90's were only slightly better.

The classics were 1967 through 1977. At the end of Camaro's 10 yr hiatus they physically slumped. (middle aged spread). It was part Govt forced aerodynamics.New Camaro is a homogenized form of the '69 that needed no changing. The insecurity of GM forced redesign screwed fans. But most fans dont care what it looks like theyd buy a Pinto if the Camaro name & bow tie were on it.

@ 55mph does aerodynamics really matter?

  • ha pintos are cool, dont talk shit on a Pinto dude

  • Not really.

By deffinition from people at car shows, they suck.

  • first of all no it wouldn't you cant beat pure muscle with rice

second of all your french if you would street race you'd probably surrender once you'd see a muslce car...

Sacre bleu les germans/camaro I surrender

  • @OGRM haha that surrender comment was EXCELLENT!

  • Perhaps. But in 20 years no one will be trying to restore a '93 Civic as an Icon of "muscle". It's not just about how fast it can go, it's the history behind it.

Besides, your '93 Civic will never look as bad ass as a '70 Z28, no matter how fast it is or how many spoiler kits you glue on.

Camaro's had Style (and still do). Civic's don't (and never will).

BTW, if CIVIC's are so hot, why isn't there a Transformer Civic? hmmmmm? The hot chick will get in the Camaro every time! =-]

  • @ingham62 so true

  • Camaros aren't slow i have a 1970 Chevy Camaro Z28 and it has 415 horsepower

    Your 1993 Civic: 215 horsepower

    My Camaro: 415 horsepower

  • Trans Am's are better than Camaro's!

  • @Coolkid89383

Ironically Trans Am's are faster that Camaro's and look a whole lot better too.

    In 1967 - 68 The T/A's 400's walked all over the Camaro's 396 in 1969 - 70 the T/A's

    Ram Air V 400's crushed the ZL1 and LT1's in 71 The H.O. raped the LS6, from 72 - 74 The SD's annihilated those shitty 200 - 300hp 350's from 75 until the 1981 the 455, 400, 403 and Turbo 302 engines all had superior performance to that of the 305 and 350's.

  • If I remember correctly that "Hot chick" refers to the car as "Piece of crap camaro" right before we see the 2010 concept camaro. Trans AM's have always looked bad ass Ever see the Smokey and the Bandit? Going back to transformers the 1975 - 77 Camaro's look like ass. The cow catcher bumpers make me want to vomit the slanted nose is ugly. Compare the Transformers 1977 Camaro to the Bandit 1977 Trans Am. Compare the Trans Am year vs year for the hell of it too.

  • The Trans Am and Camaro were both canceled at the same time in 2002 and Pontiac got dropped before they ever had the chance of renewing the trans am.

Listen this whole thing has spiraled out of control and I know I brought this on myself. But in terms of performance there hasn't been a single year where Camaro had superior performance to that of the Trans Am. And for the most part Trans Am's have had more innovative and unique styling. Styling is a personal thing. I'm sorry I wrote the comment.

  • @Coolkid89383 dude i found a trans am they're rarer idk i might sell my camaro and just get the trans am cuz i got a 350 and the trans am has a 450 and i can get the car and still have money left over but this guy is willing to give me 3 times what i paid for the camaro idk what to do

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD

I must agree, I have a 79 silver, 403 built, they are a very special type of car. Some just don't get it.

  • CHEVY creates works of arts

  • what kind of engine do u have in it?

  • It has a 350ci LT-1 with edelbrock carb and Sandersen headers.

  • Did U install a carburettor feeded engine in this?! LAMA!

Better to buy a VW Phateon V10 TDi engine and accelerate apart this yenk heap with, Yeah! DEUTSCHLAND KRAFT!

  • Lay off the good German beer before you post. you're not making sense. Sie sind verwirrt ich glaube...

  • I'm not usually a lover of a 2nd gen Camaro, but this one is AWESOME!! Great job!

  • I am going to buy a green one just like it!!!

  • how much is it to restore one of these babys??

cause im 16 and ma neighbor has 1 he told me to make an offer but idk

  • If you have the time, know-how, and a place to work, you can probably do it for about the price of a new car. But to pay a shop to do it can get very pricy. Many restos run well over 100k. The most expensive part is the body and sub-frame repair. A new motor and trand is cheap compared to the body work, which is where 80% of the money goes on these. You are better off buying one that has already been done. But make sure you get it inspected thoroughly first.

  • Hey, just go for it, if your a car guy that is. Im 18 and my first car (and only car) is a 1970 Mustang and I love it! It has given me a lot of problems and I have put about 13K (including buying it for 6K) into the car, but its all worth it to have a bad ass muscle car that not many people have the balls to own now-a-days. I hope this is not too late and you bought the car!

  • Nice ride! 2nd gen camaros are waay cool! Thanks for posting!

  • look lyke sabre gt from gta iv... ncie car btw!

  • No the sabre gt from GTA looks like a 1970 oldsmobile 442.

  • what a car...awesome...these cars are among the many many many things i love about the united states of america...

  • the only thing that i love in America, no ofense, '60s-70s muscle cars :)

  • If that's that only thing you love about America, you probably dont know as much about this country as you think you do. 12 to 20 million illegal aliens can't all be wrong!

  • dude ur car is vey hot

  • Thanks. Unfortunately it is not my car (I wish!). Our company only rebuilt it for the owner.

  • my favorite year for the camaro is '69, but this car is so fucking cool. love the sound dude!

  • nice ass car, i only have an 84 Z28 =( but im getting a Chevy Nova with a 454 Big Block dropped in it for $2500 that needs a full restoration of the body, fun project for me

  • sounds cool, have fun with that!

  • do you know how to fix a carborator leak in one of these because my dad has 1970 Chevy Camaro Z28 with a corvette engine putting about 415 horsepower

my dad got it running and we saw the leak its where the fuel line is do you know how to fix it?

  • *whistles at the car as if it was a beautiful women* lol

  • Excellent Car thanks for sharing

  • ...very, very, very cool!

  • SWEET CAR

  • not a 70 73

  • ITS AWSOM me and ma dad is goint to asemble one this winter cant wait to get it done awsom job

  • Good luck with the projecct!

  • im drooling

  • How much will a 1970 Camaro cost?

  • around $32,000 at least!!!!!!

  • not if you restore it yourself

  • Some Z28's had the optional RS package which included the front split bumper.

  • I believe it's what's referred to as the 70 and 1/2

  • thats correct. I'm not sure why people gave you a thumbs down...

  • @Coolkid89383 actually before you open your mouth and say something ignorant like that, coming from a person who has OWNED two 69 Z/28s the 302 made around 350 horsepower at 6500-7500 rpms. do some research before you comment kid.

  • i thought a 70 had a split bumper...

  • My favorite year of the Camaro. Hands down!

  • well thats true the 60's and 70's cars look a lot better than tose today but everyone just wants some thing new and gas friendly.

  • It's got nothing to do with gas. US companies produced cars w/ bad gas mileage all the way up to the 80s. It's just that the style goes out of style like anything else...clothing, music, etc...I still like cars from these years better than the cars today.

  • It's a 70 1/2 Camaro a 70 Camaro looked like a 69

  • actually the 70 camaro's were just leftover 69's... the 70 1/2's are just called 1970

  • If you use engage in profanity or slander Hot Rods & Custom Stuff. Your comments will be removed. Thank you.

  • you see that is THE shit. all the new american stuff is so shockingly ugly. you should make cars like you did in the 70's b e a utiful car.

  • Sad but true. Most of the new cars ( japs and euros too) tastes and feels like plastic..

  • Theres a few good cars out there. The C6 Z06, Shelby GT500, and the Viper SRT-10. But then again, those are all rare cars... Overall, the 60's and 70's ONLY made great looking cars that worked BETTER than most cars today. The automotive industry doesnt take pride in what they make anymore.

  • and my former Olds Cutlass Rocket 350!

  • You forgot Shelby GT500KR

  • Outstanding car there, and in beautiful shape. Hope the new Camaro will be another brilliant product. Looks like the new Camaro stands to be the best of the three new-age muscle cars.

  • Beautiful Color!

  • It looks really nice and sounds great too, I have a 70 1/2.

  • Amazing Car. Wish It woulda went round back, all I can hear is the fan belt.

  • So sick. I have a '71.

  • it looks great

  • Beautiful Camaro!

  • look like pontiack fierbird

  • nice car man take it out and show them honda what a real car looks like check out my cars not as nice as your but someday hopefully

  • Never liked the front, always thought it was ugly... But the back is a whole different story. None the less it's still a Camaro which will always be better than a Mustang!!

  • mustangs are better in my opinion ... and the front was the part i liked the best lol

  • mustang are better on making guys look like faggs driving them, in my opinion but i do i agree i like the front 2 to be honest like it all

  • whats a mustang repair kit?

    A GRENADE BOOOM!

  • beautiful

  • 70-73, my favorite camaros

  • nice car really nice car... those models weren't as good looking as the 1969 but they were nice and fast... i love it.

    hotrodscustomstuff[dot]com

  • My Dad owns 1980 Z28 Camaro

  • a year off

  • No Z28 SS EVER. rs/Z28, yes.

  • Hi I am looking to info of camaro of that age as to how long was that type body in style? And sometime ago a fellow I knew had one back in the mid 80's of a 73 or so but what ever metal was used and where it was drove the winter salt rotted the area which had the rear springs fasten to the frame otherwise he had a cool muscle car till R,R, T.

  • diossssssss ke buga

  • Saw it, luved it.....U can mail the keys to the following address...lol Thats Badass

  • Great looking car, wish u had more video of it...

  • If you'd like to see more of this car, go www.hotrodscustomstuff.com and check out "showroom 1". Then click on the thumbnail of the camaro.

  • thanks man, will do....

  • my father unle and i just finished a full body off rsto on my uncles 69 z28 ss... 8.68 second car

  • 8.68 seconds? doesn't sound like much of a resto. You have to hack up a z-28 pretty bad to turn that kind of time. Beside Z's were built for road racing. Cutting one up for the drags is a classless act of heresy. Might as well get a Nova from the junkyard for that. Lastly- no such thing as a Z-28 SS. There was an RS version though.

  • lol i like the comment on how theres no z28 ss
