Really interesting video. The Human League used a system 100 for their earliest recordings in the late 70's, never realised the SH-101 I got in the mid-80's was derived from the same base system...
@sauermusicDE Das System 100 ist KEIN modulares System. Was ist "normale Musik"? Synthesizer jeder Art kann man für jede Musik und ebenfalls für jeden Krach verwenden, man muss nur wissen wie und man muss es wollen.
I had 2 of this Roland System 100. I built them in 2 cases and added an PPG Sequencer. I add some plugs (Noise out and other) and changed the tuning Knobs. U can see my old System (my first Synth.) and many more at:
Modular systems like the System-100 and -700 still rule when it comes to complex and experimental noises. But for "normal" (ordinary) music they are not really necessary.

@ianrussll Thanks. Yes I saw an interesting video a while ago where Martyn Ware demonstrated how they used the Roland System-100 back in the day.

My parents bought me the full System 100 for my 21st Birthday way back in 1978.... and I still have it... completely overhauled
