He originally wanted to be in the CG, but he had a record and they wouldn't take him, he went to the AF, same story, then the Navy, but he was still not good enough...
Odd; every video I see of Special Forces (Green Berets, etc.) they're just constantly knocking down villager's doors and trashing their houses looking for guns and missiles. Yet when I see your standard Marine and Army units in video's they're always in the thick of battle, firing weapons while bullets whiz past their heads and bracing themselves for explosions. I know the SF are critical to the mission but honestly they're starting to look a lot less interesting compared to these guys.
@PalaceOfExile I agree, standard Infantry sees more combat than SF. SF most of the time doesn't even assault or engage the enemy. Primarily Recon and Intel, however on occasion they do HVT's and Raids.
@PalaceOfExile Special Forces don't get nearly as much attention as grunts, if your referring to video games and movies, who cares? You rarely hear about the things SF does where you hear about grunts regularly on the news and in papers, also the reason grunts see more combat is because their job is fighting SF does a multitude of different things.

The Army and Navy Special forces go in and make initial hits and gather intel. The Marines are the spearhead assault force, while the Army is the flanking force. I love the Army been in for 2 years and still going (infantry aka the badasses of the Army) I also respect the hell out of the Marines! And just throwing this out there am I the only one that finds it hard to call the coast guard a branch of the military? @THEBARFO Don't talk about the Coast Guard, the war is not restricted in the cities of Iraq or the mountains of Afghanistan, we have a war going on in our own ports and our interests in the Gulf of Aden. I have a cousin who's a marine, and he's damn proud like any other marine, but the marines wasn't always his first choice. He originally wanted to be in the CG, but he had a record and they wouldn't take him, he went to the AF, same story, then the Navy, but he was still not good enough...

Odd; every video I see of Special Forces (Green Berets, etc.) they're just constantly knocking down villager's doors and trashing their houses looking for guns and missiles. Yet when I see your standard Marine and Army units in video's they're always in the thick of battle, firing weapons while bullets whiz past their heads and bracing themselves for explosions. I know the SF are critical to the mission but honestly they're starting to look a lot less interesting compared to these guys.

The Army and Navy Special forces go in and make initial hits and gather intel. The Marines are the spearhead assault force, while the Army is the flanking force. The Air Force and the Navy, of course, drops the bombs to weaken enemy forces prior to the assaults and provides cover. Therefore, you need all branches to win wars. Branch bashing is stupid, immature, and unpatriotic. Its ok to make jokes out of good fun, but saying "fuck the Army"..etc. is a disgrace to our nation.

Sweden and Finland actually covers more. But these armies dont have the same technological advancement, numbers and/or as advanced special forces. Notice that the Army and for ex.
