When you spend way more than all other nations combined on something, either you have a REALLY big problem to deal with, or much of it is just being wasted, and you're overestimating the problem. In this case, it's def. the latter.

It's STILL a significant portion. $700 Billion is NOT an insignificant number, even with today's huge budgets. We could CUT the $1.6 Trillion deficit down to just ONE TRILLION (still large but more manageable) if we limited our defense to, say, $100 Billion a year? That's not too much to ask, right? $100 Billion for intel and defense?
