  • have you guys read the book of mormon by yourselves ? then when you finish it ,you and I will agree , by the way read moroni 10:4 will you?

  • My favorite part is when Chuck Norris stands up for He-man!!

  • It's so good to obtain that which God the Father has prepared for us with a glad heart and through faith in his Son Jesus Christ.

Then it must be true, that the wicked take the truth to be hard thing. Or why someone open their mouth against that which is Holy and of God? Pray to God for Truth a it shall be given unto you. For it is hard to kick against the pricks.

  • Typical American based movie production depicting the average, indigenous people the way they should be portrayed but the leaders or good guys always as Caucasian or American. The great American church, LDS, is a great proponent of this propaganda.

  • @freestanding1000 because Nephites where white

  • @freestanding1000 The movie indicates that the individuals are returning to their home. why do they lool white while those to whom they are returning are definitely not? If they are supposed to be returning home should they not look like those who are still there?

  • @freestanding1000 Nephi doesn't look very Caucasian to me in this film.

  • this is rubbish!

  • @doctorw2 joseph smith has a great imagination! but mormons are good people though

  • Looks a lot like a rameumptum to me.

  • There are eight LDS returned missionaries and two with mission calls on the team. A basketball team with a roster dominated by Mormon returned missionaries has just enjoyed its greatest season in school history. The Knights earned their first ever ...

  • "We've never met in Utah and the organization started in 1942, so that's kind of a long spell of time to specifically avoid Utah," Rev. Greg Johnson said. "I think the tensions between historic Mormonism and historic evangelicalism probably set the stage for that kind of scenario."

  • This year's symposium, with the theme "Go Ye into All the World," focused on the growth and development of missionary work for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. More than 30 presenters shared insight on a variety of gospel themes -- all related to the topic of missionary work.

  • "We are going to change missionary methods over and over again, but there is one thing that will never change," said Dennis Wright, a BYU professor of church history. "And that's the power of a personal testimony."

  • How Moroni and the plates may have made it to Hill Cumorah

    By Michael R. Ash

  • @omiolo Where's Hill Cumorah ?

  • Despite its best efforts, the N.C. School of Science and Mathematics in Durham couldn't beat the Guinness world record last year when students set out to collect the most food at one location in 24 hours.

This year, it wised up: The Durham residential magnet school partnered with the Mormons.

When it comes to planning, mobilizing volunteers and executing large-scale operations, no group can quite match The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. . .

  • @omiolo More than 1/2 the comments are yours, no thread, all unrelated. I have heard your seeking residency in the USA via mormon sponsors. Is this your idea of justifying your keep ?

  • @kramd1 STOP your whining!

  • @omiolo grow a brain

  • President Ezra Taft Benson once said: “Give me a young man who has kept himself morally clean and has faithfully attended his Church meetings. Give me a young man who has magnified his priesthood and has earned the Duty to God Award and is an Eagle Scout.

  • The adviser expressed in his testimony the feelings he had at that tender moment. He said he wept silently with joy, and he knew the Church was in good hands with these young, caring, obedient bearers of the Aaronic Priesthood.

  • She states she was saved from the ordeal by the theft of her bicycle on the very eve of her first lesson. Her companions jested that she had been praying for the bike to be stolen so she would be delivered from this task.

  • Her first two areas were relatively urban Auckland suburbs where using the bus or walking to appointments and meetings was feasible. In one of these areas she committed to learn to ride a bike and arranged lessons from some of her missionary companions

  • For better or worse, the very language that we use when describing a situation affects how we understand the situation and hence guides our behavior. Consider the different responses that we might get from the following two sentences: "You need the church" and "The church needs you.".

  • Editor's note: Clayton Christensen is the Robert and Jane Cizik Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School and a member of the Deseret News' Editorial Advisory Board. The Deseret News recently asked Christensen, a Salt Lake City native and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to share this experience with Mormon Times readers.

  • "The production may attempt to entertain audiences for an evening, but the Book of Mormon as a volume of scripture will change people's lives forever by bringing them closer to Christ," read the LDS Church's statement.

  • SALT LAKE CITY -- Avid pianist, choir leader, high school music teacher and former LDS Young Women General President Ruth Hardy Funk, died at her home on ...

  • Great Lakes proponents often associate Nephites with the Hopewell tradition of the Great Lakes region (a loose cluster of early Native American cultures that shared common aspects). The Jaredites are said to correspond with the Archaic or Adena periods. In a review of several books which propose a Great Lakes geography, professional archaeologist Dr. John Clark pointed out that we need to look at more than just evidence for the existence of people in the right times and places.

  • @omiolo LOL Only a mormon archeologist would say " we need to look at more than just evidence"

  • @kramd1 "Only a mormon archeologist would say " we need to look at more than just evidence""

Probably NOT true, Mormon Christians are NOT the only great archeologists. We do like to look at different methods of analysis for the evidence. Simply looking at evidence without analysis techniques and tools is fruitless.

  • @omiolo you say re: evidence " We look at different methods of analysis for evidence" Faith is not evidence.

However mormons do seem to mix them together. So perhaps you are right. God told you.

  • @kramd1 Thanks for IGNORING what I posted. I am sure that helps you think you are continually correct!

  • @omiolo Ok tell me of these " analysis techniques" apart from evidence. I'm all ears.

  • @kramd1 Not only have you ignored my questions but now accuse me of IGNORING what you posted.

I have asked of you to explain the anomaly of the steel sword of Laban found with the golden plates, referred to in the B of M ( as many swords fashioned after the steel sword of Laban) yet the mormon apologist offers a wooden broad sword as the B of M sword.

Now IGNORING my question of what is " analysis techniques"

  • @omiolo Is that your explanation of "analysis techniques" ?

  • @kramd1 Is that your way of sidestepping what you can NOT understand?

  • @omiolo The subject "analysis techniques" care to answer ?

    I'm intrigued at your statement.

"We do like to look at different methods of analysis for the evidence "

This could be the key to your confusion where evidence and faith blend. correct me if i'm wrong, but it seems that your suggesting faith is evidence.

  • @kramd1 LOL ant religon has to say that idiot. Religion is based off faith not facts. You're a biased fool. Show me proof that Jesus existed or that Moses existed. SHOW ME PROOF THAT Jews wandered the desert while with Moses. Show me proof that a human could be swallowed by a whale and live. Show me proof that the Bible wasn't compiled by corrupt people that left out so much truth. HELL SHOW ME PROOF EVEN AN ONCE OF PROOF THAT THE WORLD ISNT BILLIONS OF YEARS OLD? SEE I CAN PLAY TOO. GOT FAITH

  • Comment removed

  • @kramd1 There is no scholarly evidence that Jesus Christ of Nazareth existed only books written about him hundreds of years after he lived. Yep you heard me the books of the Bible where written hundreds of years after Christ. Not to mention the first of what we call the Bibles didn't come into existence something like a 1000 years after he lived. So my point is this do you still believe the Bible to be the world of God? Do you still believe Jesus existed? Faith isn't fact its FAITH period

  • @cwood4ever Mate. I agree. However faith seems to be a human need. We are entitled to believe what we want even if it has no evidence. All religions requires faith. I do not believe Jesus as described in the NT or the Bof M . There may well have been a Jesus character as evident from the dead sea scrolls. A group called the Essense 's existed had similar type teaching that of Christianity.

  • @kramd1 All I am saying is people that trash the BOM because there is no evidence, why don't they put that same standard up the Bible? Funny how they wont do that.

  • @cwood4ever Yes , mormons have a patented version of Jesus, they have been avid in proclaiming an apostasy and all other christians are wrong and do not have any divine authority > It's a big call to take on Christendom and not expect a trashing or scrutiny. Joseph Smiths claims are not supported with any real evidence. It's a matter of faith and testimony alone, mormons will freely admit when question " only god can tell you " poor effort from "the one and only s"

  • As argued in last week's installment, the Great Lakes model for Book of Mormon geography has a number of geographical inconsistencies and dilemmas. The problems for this model extend beyond geographical issues, however.

  • Dilemmas with Great Lakes model more than just geographical

  • The tour will include a chance to ask questions of one of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's organists and choir directors. Shown is Clay Christiansen

  • @EnakX watever! The book of Mormon is not fiction. grow up

  • Why don't we see artifacts left over form the past form the book of mormon all we see is a different culture all together of primitive mongaloid people not even close to what the book of mormon states.

  • Who wrote Helaman? Sidney or Oliver?

  • @awolLDSasap Helaman was its author, wolf, stay away from the flock.

    FAIRLDSdotORG

    for the truth

  • @LDS4Life71 Matthew to Revelation for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • @awolLDSasap That is an incomplete document, wolf.

  • @LDS4Life71 The eternal God has said otherwise.

  • @awolLDSasap THE SECOND BOOK OF NEPHI

    CHAPTER 29

  • @LDS4Life71 Didn't Nephi also tell people to get baptized in the name of Christ 100s of years before Jesus was born?

  • @awolLDSasap Didn't the Maya practice baptism by immersion when the apostate catholics found them?

Because the great white bearded God taught them the correct rite of baptism?

    Ephesians 4:5

  • @LDS4Life71 For thousands of years, most civilizations around the world have had different types of spiritual washing with water. No one baptized people in the name of Christ hundreds of years before he was born. 2 nephi 29 was a convenient way for Joseph to get his book to hold water. I'm surprised you believed him, kitty.

  • @awolLDSasap Not too convenient when Joseph Smith had no idea what he was doing. fortunately for us we have outside 3rd party writers that have exposed the truth about WHO taught the Maya.

Both Christ and Quetzalcoatl taught the ordinance of baptism. (3 Nephi 11:23; Irwin 1963:170)

  • @LDS4Life71 I see. Christ and Quetzalcoatl would fit right into the Zeitgeist phenomena.

  • @awolLDSasap I see, so it would, but doesn't change that virtually all 16th century writers, wrote about it, and zeitgeist has been debunked.

  • @LDS4Life71 Similarities do not provide all of the facts or truth.

  • @LDS4Life71 Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism / one God //. I didn't see any confirmation of the Holy Ghost anywhere in that chapter. Oh well, that must have been hidden, right kitty?

  • Nice city, can you give me travel info so i can go visit the runis?

  • @steampunk1876 can't never existed lool

  • Very interesting movie. Is it available in german?

Can you sent me a link or info? Thank you!

  • For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty

    2 Peter 1:16

  • @LDSapologist71 actually the intire bible is a fable. In the bible people get to choice between jesus and a sinner and the bible claims this was a custome but this has never been so. everything you read in the bible is just fable to make a point.

  • I love that the old Prophet looks like Chuck Norris :P

  • Other remote villages are reached only by four-wheel drive. Generally, it takes one full day to visit two or three villages. Some schools have desks, but at other schools the students sit on cement floors. Even though some schools have more than one building, most schools are single dwellings with three bamboo walls and a fourth wall fully open.

  • Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn listens as Elder Ray Caldwell gives her information about a new Thailand water project.

  • According to the World Health Organization, more than one billion people lack access to clean water. Those without clean water often suffer from water-borne diseases such as cholera, diarrhea and typhoid. The objective of the Churchs clean water initiative is to improve the health of communities by providing access to sustainable clean water sources.

  • Two more phases have yet to be completed in the Luputa water project. The next phase channels water to Luputa and in the outskirts where 130,000 people live and 34 kilometers from the springs. The trenches for this stage are close to being completed. Water stations will be completed for the small villages of Mafumba, Kasha, and Ibola. Phase three is the final stage of the project, the construction of the distribution network for the people of Luputa.

  • "It was really a powerful thing to see all of our students out serving the community and everyone giving back," said Emily Judson, executive vice president of the BYU-Hawaii Student Association.

  • It doesnt take a mormon very long to start talking about their leader satan.. stop talking to me you sick child rapist

  • seriously, what medication are you on?

  • *WARNING*

Do Not open PM's from Chainsticks/Secretbandmember2.

He sends trojans with them to ruin hard drives! I've already replaced it once.

Chainsticks is really mentally disturbed, and has no clue that he works for Satan directly.

  • you need to report him please.

I agree, he is mentally disturbed, but aren't MOST ANTImormons?

He is just manifests MORE anger than the rest of them.

  • Despite the casual attire, there was nothing nonchalant about the service rendered by students. The small army of volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints dispersed and spread over 13 separate service sites ranging from a cemetery to the grounds of the Mormon Church's Laie Hawaii Temple.

  • "It's not just the story line, it's how we work together," said Longoatu Vaka, a returned missionary who is studying hospitality and tourism at BYU-Hawaii. "A lot of us in the cast decided to help everybody think about their future. Now we see more of the cast going on missions, more temple marriages," including his own, just three weeks earlier

  • "The greatest blessings come from obedience to the commandments of God," he said. "Become more perfect in studying the scriptures, in abstaining from harmful substances such as alcohol and tobacco, and in being chaste. We should not rationalize one glass of wine or other sins. We should do these things because our Heavenly Father instructs us to do so."

  • You're nothing but a mormon child molestor

  • and it is SICK comments like that, which confirm to EVERYONE that you have mental problems!

STOP trivializing child molestation, it is a SERIOUS issue!

  • Someone found you on youtube and told you that he knows a cop who arrested you years ago for molesting a child, it doesnt surprise me all you mormons are pedophiles

  • and your FILTHY lies continue!

I am sure the devil rejoices in your lies!

  • Sister Andersen's charges are a select group; only 30 of the 270 docents have taken the additional step to become "profilers." Because a great emphasis is placed on presenting historically accurate First Person depictions, a thorough vetting process is employed each time a docent develops and takes on a new First Person profile.

  • Sister Anderson? YOu assholes dont have nuns, copy cats...if you are going to run then dont bother to talk to me, you know if I saw you I would pull your skull out of your head for 2 reasons, 1. for being a mormon and mocking Jesus Christ and his church, no the mormons have a church from satan, we have a church from Jesus Christ and 2. for molesting children...

  • the only thing you will see of me is my boot stepping on you, you should get a new username, PUNY

  • "With good employment skills, these young men and women can rise out of the poverty they and generations before them have known. ... They will serve in the church and grow in leadership and responsibility," he said in 2001. "The church will be much the stronger for their presence."

  • You mormons ASSHOLES ARE THE PRODUCT OF SATAN, YOU DONT TELL ME OR ANYONE OF GOD TO REPENT YOU GOT THAT YOU CHILD RAPING PIG

  • and this is why you are puny and have NO integrity whatsoever!

  • At her weekly lesson, the teacher asked Megan if she had practiced, to which Megan responded that she thought she had and took the reward. When Megans mother saw the doughnut, she questioned Megan and helped her understand that she needed to be honest. An apologetic phone call to her teacher was made with her moms encouragement.

  • Eight-year-old Megan enjoys playing the piano. Recently her piano teacher offered a reward of a doughnut for faithful daily practice. The teacher said she would be dialing for doughnuts and would call Megan sometime during the week. If she had practiced that day, she would earn the reward. When Megan was called, she was not at home to give her report

  • We need to stand tall and be firmly fixed in perpetuating Christlike virtues, even the ity virtues, in our everyday lives. Teaching virtuous traits begins in the home with parents who care and set the example. A good parental example encourages emulation; a poor example gives license to the children to disregard the parents teachings and even expand the poor example. A hypocritical example destroys credibility.

  • Typical mormons bringing up their leader satan... so damn typical. You're nothing but a child molestor

  • STOP trivializing child molestation.

    You are SICK!

  • Family solidarity and spirituality will be adversely impacted. Religious influence in society will be lessened, and the rule of law will be challenged and perhaps even set aside. The seedbed for all that plagues the natural man will have been planted, to the sheer delight of Satan.

  • We have discovered that ward-based missionary work increases member involvement in finding and teaching investigators. Often investigators are invited to receive the missionary lessons in members homes. Ward members become more excited to share their precious knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ when they directly experience the sweet blessings of missionary service and they receive more regular reminders from their ward leaders

  • Nothing that you asshole mormons say is valid.. you're nothing but a child raping piece of shit

  • NOTHING but the language of evil comes out of your mouth. I am sure you will NOT be surprised where you spend eternity!

  • You should be locked up in prison for molesting children, all you mormons are pedophiles.. damn pigs

  • it is this type of LIES and HATE that were used to crucify Christ.

    REPENT!

  • With a ward mission plan developed by every ward council in the Church, progress is being made at an ever-increasing rate. Much of the success is being achieved by the full-time missionaries working closely with ward councils, ward mission leaders, and the members of the Church.

  • Before them was a vast desert wasteland, barren of green hills, trees, and beautiful meadows which most of those early pioneers had known. With firm faith in God and their leaders, the early pioneers went to work to create beautiful communities in the shadows of the mountains.

  • I figured you'd cop out... I bet if I were a little kid you'd be MORE then happy to meet with me.. you sick mormon child molestor, even sanjay thinks you're a sick mormon perv

  • I have noticed your TYPES like to LIE and degrade others to try and make you feel good about yourself!

  • Embracing the gospel resulted in a complete change of life for them. They left everything behind—their homes, their businesses, their farms, and even their beloved family members—to journey into a wilderness. It must have been a real shock when Brigham Young announced, This is the . . . place.2

  • Sister Nelson said she and her husband, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, were on a church assignment in the African country. She described finishing taco salads with Mozambique Maputo Mission President Blair Packard and his wife and two other couples when a man suddenly walked into the mission home.

  • You TELL ME EXACTLY WHERE YOU'RE GONNA BE AND I'LL SHOW UP YOU SICK MORMON PEDOPHILE.. WE'LL SEE HOW BIG AND BAD YOU ARE WHEN WERE READY TO MEET.. YOU MORMONS ARE COWARDS

  • wimp!

don't want to get stepped on huh?

I am guessing you have a restraining order and you are NOT allowed to leave your area for your own safety!

  • "The four armed robbers had one intention," Sister Nelson said, "to (harm) my husband and to take me hostage."

  • The wife of Elder Russell M. Nelson said she felt a comforting peace that helped her remain calm during an attack by armed robbers last spring.

Sister Wendy Watson Nelson described the experience Friday during a speech to 3,300 women at the Time Out for Women event in Salt Lake City. The robbery occurred in May at an LDS mission home in Mozambique.

  • After 19 years of rancor and loss, Thomas B. Marsh made his way to the Salt Lake Valley and asked President Brigham Young for forgiveness. Brother Marsh also wrote to Heber C. Kimball, First Counselor in the First Presidency, of the lesson he had learned.

  • 20 cents in the last 2 hours on this thread alone! Omiolo sure is raking in the bucks! Wanna learn how to get rich quick? Shill for the Mormon Church and they will pay you 5 cents per comment. Don't believe me? Ask Omiolo :-)

  • Haha omiolo thinks hes gonna kick my ass.. thing is I would rip his skull out of his head if he tried something with me

  • Tell you what, I'll be in Phoenix this coming Saturday, you wanna go up against a Catholic.. you'll be another mormon will regret it.. you sick mormon pedophile

  • what part of phoenix? no need to worm out of this, even though I am sure that is NOT too hard for you!

  • His affidavit led to—or at least was a factor in—Governor Lilburn Boggss cruel extermination order, which resulted in over 15,000 Saints being driven from their homes, with all the terrible suffering and consequent death that followed. All of this occurred because of a disagreement over the exchange of milk and cream

  • Elder Thomas B. Marsh, who sided with his wife through all of this, became angrier with each successive decision—so angry, in fact, that he went before a magistrate and swore that the Mormons were hostile toward the state of Missouri.

  • Omiolo is sure making his moneys worth these last few days. 5 cents per comment his Mormon Masters are giving him.

  • Haha this sick pedophile named omiolo needs to be locked up for life in prison, someone exposed him in another video room and told him that he knows the cop that filled out a report about omiolo a few years ago for molesting 3 kids

  • Let me just say that I'm not surprised. Omiolo does sound like a pervert. Sadly I bet he is a Sunday school teacher right now and he is plotting evil against the little ones. No doubt his Bishop gave him this calling after "inspiration" (vomit)

  • Haha that mormon idiot omiolo doesnt realize that hes playing with fire

  • These Mormon volunteers, some who have parents deployed overseas, concluded the morning by writing cards with messages of hope to be sent to soldiers as part of Veteran's Day.

  • If you think you can step on me, then PM me your address and I'll be more then happy to meet up with you in utah.. I hate child molsters like yourself

  • @chainsticks88

why don't you let me know when you are at the phoenix airport and I can give you a lesson in bug stomping!

I will be the person with the shoe over your head!

  • Crespo and Anderson, youth from the Fayetteville North Carolina Stake place flags at each grave in the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery just outside Fort Bragg.

  • "What an awesome experience it was," said Sister Peggy Ann Haleck.

President Uchtdorf's first meeting on arrival in American Samoa on Nov. 7 was with the missionaries serving in that U.S. territory. He spoke of their sacred duties to share the message of the gospel with the Samoan people.

  • I bet you'd shut up if someone had their fist heading for your mouth, if you continued to talk to someone like this in person especially after they tell you to leave them alone b/c no one wants to be bothered with pedophiles like yourself

  • come on!

everyone knows you are 5 foot 2 inches, and lighter than a paper bag.

    I could step on you!

  • While the Church's efforts to provide temporal assistance is ongoing, the Uchtdorfs' visit represented a mission of spiritual assistance. Thousands crammed into stake centers to hear their counsel, while hundreds more gathered at meetinghouses in other regions of the islands to participate in the meetings via closed circuit broadcasts.

  • Now, the second thing they will need is confidence that they can live up to the blessings and the trust which God has offered them. Most of the influences around them drag them down to doubt the existence of God, of His love for them, and of the reality of the sometimes quiet messages they receive through the Holy Ghost and the Spirit of Christ. Their peers may urge them to choose sin. If young men choose sin, those messages from God will become more faint.

  • Anti mormon means anti satan you sick mormon child molestor

  • That will be true for anyone placed in a position to help these young men choose wisely and well in their days in the preparatory priesthood.

  • An instance from the Book of Mormon will help you see how one man made that preparation. There was a priesthood holder named Nephi who received a hard assignment from the Lord. He was sent by God to call wicked people to repentance before it was too late for them. In their wickedness and hatred, they were killing each other. Even their sorrow had not humbled them enough to repent and obey God.

  • The preparation begins in families, in Aaronic Priesthood quorums, and mostly in the private lives of young men. The quorums and the families must help, but the preparation that counts will be made by the young men making choices to rise to their great destiny as priesthood servants for God.

  • I said dont contact me pedophile...

  • you are one sick delusional ANTImormon!

  • He was wrong. She lived, and contrary to what the doctor had said, she not only lived, but she learned to walk again.

When the call came, I was ready. The preparation was far more than having consecrated oil close at hand. It must begin long before the crisis which requires priesthood power. Those who are prepared will be ready to answer.

  • The doctors and the nurses only reluctantly let us reach through a plastic barrier to place a drop of oil on the one opening in the heavy bandages which covered her head. A doctor said to me, with irritation in his voice, Hurry with whatever you are going to do. She is dying.

  • I told YOU BEFORE NEVER TO CONTACT ME AGAIN, I DONT WANNA HEAR FROM A SICK MORMON CHILD MOLESTOR YOU GOT ME!!!!

  • But the call during the day or the knock at the door at night always comes as a surprise. Someone will say, Please, could you come quickly? Once, years ago, it was a father calling from a hospital. His three-year-old daughter had been thrown 50 feet (15 m) by a speeding car as she ran across the street to join her mother. When I arrived at the hospital, the father pled that the power of the priesthood would preserve her life.

  • I don't care what you have to say, you're a damn pedophile who needs to stay locked behind bars, some people found out about you. Dont talk to me I find you to be a filthy pig. I mean it dont talk to me

  • we are used to these LIES and ATTACKS by you ANTImormon crazy types!

Now I am going to have to report you and your account will be deleted!

  • Oh and anti mormon means anti satan...

  • ONLY in the mind of a pharisee!

  • at it with your SICK delusional LIES again. Michael Huston is proud of you!

  • The one I hold now has a date on it. It is the day when someone exercised the power of the priesthood to consecrate the pure oil for the healing of the sick. The young men of the Aaronic Priesthood and even their fathers might think that I am a little extreme in my preparation.

  • Members in Kentucky join with other groups to clean up after flooding in Louisville

    By Bruce Smith

    Church News contributor

  • After that experience, I made a firm resolve never to speak in any Church meeting again. And I held to that resolve for some time. Then one Sunday, Sister Lydia Stillman, a Primary leader, knelt down at my side and asked me to give a short talk the following week. I said, I dont give talks. She responded, I know, but you can give this one because Ill help you. I continued to resist, but she expressed so much confidence in me that her invitation was hard to refuse. I gave the talk.

  • I remember as a young boy feeling carefree as I walked to the church for a Primary meeting. When I arrived, I was surprised to see all of the parents there for a special program. Then it hit me. I had a part in this program, and I had forgotten to memorize my lines. When my turn came to say my part, I stood in front of my chair, but not one word came from my mouth. I could remember nothing. So I just stood there and then finally sat down and stared at the floor.

  • Yeah Im the sick crazy dude when someone exposed you a month ago for being a pedophile.. watch your mouth next time

  • obviously that was you that likes to spread LIES. But that is what crazy people do!

    at least you are consistent.

I however would like to know which anti-psychotic drugs you take.

  • And, since 2005, Woods has been doing just that.

The professor of church history has written a flurry of articles and given dozens of lectures at universities and campus Catholic Newman Centers to LDS, to Protestant and to interfaith groups.

  • Not only is it typical that a product of satan aka mormons molest children but its typical that the mormons bring up their leader satan, and you seem to have this sick fetish with the Catholic Church

  • you are ONE crazy sick dude!

hey, what does a bird in a clock say??

  • Others -- including Damien's friend Mormon elder Jonathan Napela, who voluntarily lived and died in the colony -- also were martyrs.

"It's a story that needs to be told," says Woods, who holds the Richard L. Evans Chair of Religious Understanding at BYU.

  • "The Kalaupapa experience has reminded me that great personal growth can come out of difficult circumstances."

Woods found the story of a settlement born in misery but redeemed by interfaith friendship. And he learned it wasn't just about Father Damien, the Catholic priest whose ministry in the colony became an international emblem of selflessness and who was canonized a saint this month by Pope Benedict XVI.

  • Elder Robert D. Hales, left, President Thomas S. Monson, Sister Vicki F. Matsumori, and Elder Claudio R. M. Costa leave the stand following the Salt Lake South Stake Conference Sunday. President Monson thanked members for their "dedicated and devoted service."
