Hated it at the time but now I kind of liked myself loking wierd like an alien and wish I could switch it on and off so I could poke myself in the cheek when its swollen for some fucked up reason. Also 0:16 onwards is so fucking funny!
5 days?? ive got it now and i hate it. The strange thing is i had my MMR jab. Hopefully the swelling goes down soon, its hard to talk it feels like something is wrapped around my neck. Once the swelling goes down does your skin return to normal or are there any after signs
this is really comforting news dude. I noticed it 3 days ago, i thought my lymph nodes were swelling because of a possible cold coming on. Boy was i wrong!
After 48 hours on antibiotics it hasnt gotten much better, but they probably havent kicked in fully.
Any tips on how to get rid of it faster? Im missing way too much time at work over this.
Just a status update for anyone who may have the infection:
After 4 days on a strong antibiotic called Septra (Sulfameth/Trimeth) the swelling was completely gone.
By the 5th day I gained my appetite back and fevers were non existent. 1 Week and 2 days later, you'd never know I had it, just finishing the last 5 days on my prescription.
Im so glad thats over with. It was indeed a staph infection of the parotid gland, so make sure you ask if the antibiotic your doc puts you on covers staph.

I'm pretty sure that you no longer suffer from this disease but currently it is me who is suffering this damn disease T.T

Sorry, there's no sound on my video camera.
It turned out to be parotitis, not mumps.
It hurt pretty bad & took 5 days for the swelling to disappear.
