  • anybody knows who played/wrote the bassline to that?

  • @gabr1989 Bootsy Collins as far as i know

  • Man brings back memories. Playing this record on my mom and dads stereo. S/N records...after 8 track before cd's mp3 computers rhapsody and so on. (Old heads stand up!!!!!)

  • My all time favorite Parliment Funkadelic song!!!! Junie Morrison doing his thang

  • THIS SONG SOUNDS EVEN BETTER ON A E PILL!!! PSYCHEDELIC BABY!!! I CAN'T GET ENOUGH! I WANT TO FLY

  • George use to always go out and find guitar prodigys, like Eddie Hazel, Michael Hampton, and Gary Shider. Though Hazel will always be my boy, after Hendrix.

  • Skeet Curtis fucking kills it on bass on this track

  • DUDE?? .... Puff puff PASS! ... HA!

  • such a cool ass groove

  • i been loving this track since i was 11 years old back in 1978, The United Funk, gave me clues to the history of P Funk, it would take years to find the Holy Grail of PFunk

  • this song makes me wanna break out the water bowl!

  • turn this shit up around 4:00 and get your face melted by some guitar!

  • I've been playing this song out all weekend! Brings back memories of how music used to make you smile.. They need to bring the funk back. That's what's missing in todays music. Listen to the bass line. If that don't make you move, something's wrong. "Do you promise the funk, the whole funk and nothing but the funk?" The song is a beast, even towards the end, 5:8 that bass, that's funk right there.

  • Dooby dooby doop dowow Dooby dooby doop dowow Dooby dooby doop dowow Dooby dooby doop dowow Dooby dooby doop dowow Dooby dooby doop dowow

  • My god the bass at 1:13 onwards is incredible!!!

  • 1:13-1:31 "Or if our cause was unjust we couldn't bring this funk to you-oohoo, so we feel that its a must, it is something we should do, you know it"

  • crazy/best song ever

  • Got a reggae groove fusion with funk, powerful **ish, luh this unity right here...

  • I pledge allegiance.

  • finally! thanks for posting ..

  • Jerome"Bigfoot"Brailey on drums ya'll!!!! P-Funk/Mutiny

  • yessirri

  • This jam is completely under-rated! Keep the funk alive!

  • Ok,come on how many out there stood in front of the mirror,or holding that lean in yo ride, holding up the funk sign singing this jam.....doing it since this jam came out

  • been loving this song since i was 11 back in 1978

  • @bugg333 Damn right, i understand the way you feel this song

  • happy 4th of july!

  • @dementedpianist In Funkadellica everyday is the Fourth of July.

  • This is the music that has a more hippie sound without losing the true p-funk. I can see myself trippin on some good LSD skipping around, then playing the air drums and ripping some chords too. I love this song. In funk we trust. This is my alltime favorite album. If you listen to it all it has alot going on.

  • Oh my God !!! it sounds so good.

  • luuuke.....feel the funk......it flows all around you.......feel the funk flow.....

  • funk yeah man

  • The drums are tight on this one

  • What a guitar solo. Mike Hampton proving he could fill Eddie Hazel's not-easily-filled shoes. And awesome bass of course

  • @matmoose Everyone keeps saying that Mike was filling Eddie's shoes. He was not. His style was totally exclusive. He stood on his own merits. George had a way of bringing talent to the group. Jerome Brailey didn't fill Tiki's or Tyrone Lampkins shoes, Dennis Chambers didn't feel Jerome's shoes. The point was to assemble the best band in the land and George did that at every musical position.

  • I Discovered the funkiness of this jam when I was 13 yrs. old back in the 70's.

Man, great songs just live on forever. There is a timeless quality and feel to something done right.

  • (sniff)....bout' that time...they asked me, "where was i going?" you know...

    classic!

  • By far 1 of the most UNDER RATED Funk songs !!!!

  • @luvfunk i thought it was just me homie. i would go directly to it on the vinyl and my boys would trip like it was the devil. not to mention the bass and guitar solo super tasty

  • That bass player can play his a@# off.

  • Funkin grood track

  • I remember spacing out to this at 14 in '90 imagining recording that bass solo and just letting the music take mind places.....

  • beck ripped it off, cell phone is dead.

  • Actually, Funkadelic ripped the groove off from the same place Beck did, Herbie Hancock's "Chameleon"....

  • are you nuts, there are no elements of this in chameleon.what are you hearing. two different key signatures. 2 different rhythm patterns. sorry

  • @drgroove listen to the drums, man.

  • b like i luh dat shi

  • 3:05-3:47 is the climax for me. It makes me want to stop what im doing and just stare into space and reflect on life. =) no joke this is real shit homie

  • That´s the chillin part, 4:53 to 5:09 its the grooviest bangiest sh** for me.

  • thank u thank u. been looking for this one for awhile!

  • I love this jam
