  • Funny, I saw this on the spanish version (Plasa De Sesame) first, been trying to find the English version for forever

  • damn i remember this

  • I used to get my breakdance on when everytime this came on. This brings back memories. Grover is the dude. He kicks ass.

  • Go Grover

  • Grover killed it.

  • this is excatly why grover rocks

  • Breakdancing Grover + funky beat = instant win

  • damn, i wish i could break it down like grover--he's a G in my book.

  • I found it, I found it indead I remember this

  • I miss this one Grover killed it go on Grover get your groove on!

  • That Grover sure can bust a move.

  • Elmo can't break dance.

  • That's what makes Grover a whole lot better than Elmo.

  • Dope! Thanks for posting this.

  • I remember watching this with my young sister. She's 26 now. What made this hilarious was Grover breakdancing! Thanks for sharing :-D

  • Grover's break dance was cool!

  • Ferlinghetti Donizetti that's VERY ITALIAN !

  • OMG he sounds jus like Nelly! lol

  • I've been looking for this for years...this was the jam back when I first saw it in '86. I was 5. Thank you so much for posting this one. :)

  • Hey!!! Does anyone know if the rapping video with Cookie Monster is still on you-tube...that was my shit when I was like 5!!! But this is still a classic!!

  • Cool!!!

  • This beat RULZ!

  • Ferlinghetti Donizetti . . . I love that name and this song!! Thanks for posting.

  • I was born in 1969 when Sesame Street first came out, so I didn't see this clip when I used to watch the show regularly. When I was a little kid, rhymes were not known as "rap."

  • I was born 1978 and I saw this clip all the time in the 80s and early 90s. How come you didn't see this?

  • If they recreated this on a street scene, these would be the musicians:

    Olamide Faison: Rap

    Roscoe Orman: Bass

    Michael Glickman: Drums

    Bob McGrath: Keyboards

  • "dorothy wants to know why elmo always speaks in the third person. good question, dororthy!"

  • see- as if anyone actually needed proof- this is why Grover is a million times better than elmo. Grover worked in a hotel, served at a restaurant, rode in taxis, starred in monsterpiece theater specials- he could even fly!

  • I'm gonna have to agree with you on that one...cute screename by the way.

  • i beat the people paying the music had fun doing this. and grover had a good time with really danceing even as a child i too loved it. thanks swings

  • Thank you so much for uploading this one. It's one of my favorites. I used to get up and dance to this one when I was a little. I was born in 1982 so I grew up with Sesame Street everyday.

    Mike

  • Who'd've thunk that Sully would such a great keyboardist?

  • I don't think that's Sully.

  • This is awesome times a million! Ferlinghetti Donizetti is cool with his spectacular rapping, and Grover is on fire with his break dancing!! This alphabet is zappin' rappin' awesome!!!!

  • i'd still rather be listening to fhqwhgads.

  • Whoo-hoo! I've been after this one for years.

  • Hehe! I vaguely remember this one simply because of Grover's background dancing-which is awesome!

    Very cool!

  • YES! Ferlinghetti Donizetti was AWESOME! Wish someone had some clips with him on the street, annoying David with his rapping.

As for this song, is it just me or does it sound a LOT like "Can You Picture That"?

  • Go Grover! Go Grover!

  • East Coast representin'.
