You need to learn how to be less closed mind, the whole thing is that we are combining different genres. If you feel that way about burlesque and pole, wait until you see how I mix bollywood bangra with the pole.
As for staying in shape I do nothing but the pole and dance dance dance! It sounds really cliche but grip and balance all comes with hard practice, of course I didn't start this way and no one ever does. I've been doing this for 4 years now.

That's so funny, and why not, you should still use the song if you like and that way it will be interesting to see the differences and how we each interpretations of the same song..........hey that even sounds like a good idea for the next challenge, what if we all dance to the same song next week and enjoy how everyone interprets it in their own way.
