This is super great. You guys are both totally awesome songwriters and I admire your work as much as that of Adele.

If possible, consider getting the recording levels stuff under control, it would be so much better to not have the distortion. Record the piano and voice using separate feeds. Maybe even use a plugin like Pianoteq for the piano as it would solve the piano recording issues w/o extra mics. Then, use a compressor on the voice to tame the range of dynamics. It will really help.
