@EyeSeeArt fantastic. Thank you! Yes, it is really hard to find, but I know no other way. I couldn't imagine having the desire to create art without meaning or purpose. Much can also be said for my process. I don't pre-sketch ideas onto the canvas or anywhere. I simply sit down, go into a trance-like state, follow my spirit, and paint whatever comes forth (as seen in my videos).
Very very cool as always... Another loved piece of work, both the poems & the artwork! You're the bomb! Can't wait to see & hear the next creations.
Oh one thing thow, I liked how we got to see you paint some of your other paintings; that helps new painters like me to learn technecis (I know I can't spell) but hope you understood me. Look'in 4ward to see'in more of your artwork
@PoppiesBluff Thank you! Those were smaller paintings so it was easier to film every stroke. I will try to release more video's like those some time in the future. The larger paintings have so much footage because they take longer to paint, that it must be condensed in such a way that each stroke isn't emphasized, but you can follow what was painted first and last etc. So when the paintings are larger I focus more on the entire production and bringing people into the emotion of the piece. :-)
I love watching your time lapse paintings, they give me a greater appreciation for what you do. :) I also loved the 3 tracks you chose to go with this painting, they coupled well together! (Go Epiphany!!) I was going to mention the dying of 1 side of your heart shaped bamboo plant but then you incorporated that into the video too! Brilliant!
Wow Miss Ladessa! Okay lets gather the right words. ...Although I think they'll still fall short. Hmmm, I suppose I'll start w/the techniques you used. Its incredible how you can make your pieces come alive. And such a combo of emotions that seem to pour out & stir-up. I absolutely love the type of balance you created within it. ..in all aspects. What a great collabo w/your work & the poet. ..Miss Epiphany great job! I truly enjoyed your cinematography. You're BEYOND! ...in ALL that is You!
I posted my comments on fb but I will transfer them here:
Very fittiing of what we do as humans; connect only to disconnect repeatedly until one side is left with all the pain. I also enjoyed the poetry that went along with it. Kudos to you both.
@Musikgrl25 by the way in the info section I listed ways to get in contact with Epiphany or Purchase the album that has these very poems and many more. It's a beautiful album called "The Alchemist" and it's extremely affordable... if you or anyone is interested.
i can never fast forward or pause...you keep me on the edge of my seat. and miss lady did her thing on the poetry!!!! i *finally* joined your fb page shame on me. <333 i have no words for this piece it's saying everything....
I am so very humbled and grateful for the opportunity..I do hope everyone enjoys it..it is VERY special and close to my heart...The pieces are from my new album... Please visit my channel here..
The art piece...AMAZING...I love it and Epiphany's spokenword at a FANTASTIC touch to everything. WELL DONE!!! Both visual and performed arts are good.
@CNMQueen My gratitude! Thank you! ...and Yes indeed, Epiphany's poetry helped to add a beautiful "Eerie Whimsy" and fit what I needed for this painting, perfectly.
Wait! I'm not done! lol The STOP moment... I could hear my heart beating! It was perfect! And the choice of showing his third at the time WoooHoooo! I don't think they know! lol Oh and the plant! The bamboo of all plants and it's transformations! Amazing!!!!!! Sis this was seriously GENIUS! I love it so much!
@yemanis415 AWESOME! So glad you noticed, and love the artistry of my editing & producing of the video! I was up all night so enthralled in the mood of the entire editing process I lost track of time (as usual)... but it was worth it... always worth it. With the bamboo, I simply FELT, seized and made the most of the moment... ironically but not so ironically, half started to die midway through the painting. So much more could be said about this piece, but I prefer to digress... for now.
That was SO INTENSE! OMG! Love this so much! The editing of the painting brought so much intensity! Epiphany's lyrics brought more intensity! And the painting itself was INTENSE! The lock of them, the time cradled by her, the way you were moving, the black and white patterns, the share of eyes in the third position...I mean! You were telling my story! THIS WAS BRILLIANT! EVERYONE MUST SEE THIS! Amazing sister! amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My goodness I don't know what to say! lol
The painting, the music, the plant...it was all so beautiful and strong emotions came over me while watching this. The editing was so beautiful. I hate editing but you do it with such poetic elegance. Great job my friend you are a truly phenomenal. I love the way your mind works.
@TheRichAnt Thank you so much! (((HUGS))) ...and *sighs* some things simply can not be planned.... there's something seriously deep / spiritual connected to this painting & that half of the bamboo dying in the middle of me painting this piece correlates to other events in my life, also connected to the painting.
@OmaviNdoto Thank you my friend! Awww... so glad you stopped by! I was up all night editing this video, so I'm exhausted but excited. It's been a little while since I made a new video. :-) BUT more are coming very soon.
Looove it! It's hard to find good artist with a message and I loved the spokenword as well. "we would rather live demons then die angels"..gorgeous.
