@jigmesam The way I go about is to do a hard reset on my phone. Or, try searching for "Best Compass Calibration Method" on youtube as suggested by 33Evg. It looks good.

When you're in the calibrate dialog, I see you pressing the OK button. You shouldn't! While in the dialog do the figure 8 wave and the phone will vibrate when it's calibrated. The dialog will disappear on its own.

@tesovicn I contacted HTC and at first, their engineer said it was normal, but when I told him that not all user faces the same problem, they decided to replace me a new set.

How to go to this screen/programme? I want to try mine to see if there's any problem.

@human1804 you need to download the compass app from android market. install it and if you wish, you can place a shortcut on the homepage just like i did.

one tap on the app icon and the compass app will start running. you may need to calibrate you compass on first use, but it shouldn't be everytime. Try it and post your result. Thanks!

@human1804 hi, I have tried a few other compass apps, and none works well. And for those apps without a calibrating option, I cant get it to point North. Anyway, HTC have contacted me to replace my set this coming Monday and lets hope that this new set won't give me any problem. Thanks for your reply.
