  • Horrible noise playing.

  • are you seriously using grippers?! holy shit baddie

  • Just because they do them faster doesn't mean that they are easier. Any "ease" is countered by number of reps and intensity.

  • Looks like it makes them easier than when i do standard wide arm pull ups with weight but whatever, just looks retarded but the guy must be doing something right hes in great shape, plus dont mock something until youve tried it

  • Looks like it makes them easier than when i do standard wide arm pull ups with weight but whatever, just looks retarded but the guy must be doing something right hes in great shape

  • Whats the song?

  • he's body shouldnt be swinging like that, makes it way more easy

  • nothing wrong with kipping, but thats all i see crossfit do

  • Sick man, nice work.

  • BEAST MODE, how bad is that knurling ripping up your hands bro???

  • smile and drink the kool aide

  • wtf is this..worst form ive seen. lmao

I could do 30 with good form

  • @TheScar21

why is that? he is kipping and getting chest to bar, just as the title promises. Let's see your form then friend :)

  • thats fucking crazy nice work bro how many dead hang pull ups can you do? just wondering

  • Ey Bionic Dude, what up man... Sick Vid!

I go to the West side Crossfit Hardcore.

    See ya there

    Luis C.

  • these are shits....fucking wrong pullups!

  • @SebyLar91

Let's see your video bub ;)

  • @RockIsNot4TheDevil you will.....soon ;)

  • iron gym is a piece of crap

  • to everyone bagging kipping pull ups here is my response.. Pullups is a movement - i.e : 'How do i get my head/chest over the bar using no force from the ground?' Pull ups are designed to solve this problem, not 'isolate the lats'. Gymnastics Kip, Butterfly Kip, Dead Hang all have their own benefits. But the gymnastics kip has been shown to be the most valuable in athletic performance because it trains the explosive hip muscles to generate vertical movement. It is different technique, not easier

  • you guys are pro -but im fat (slowly getting into it) anywho so is this good for lats and chest?

  • nice

  • Added "kipping" to the title for the NON-CROSSFITTING-HATTERS!

  • kipping pullups, you shud add it to the title.

  • That is impressive to do 100 in a row with minimal wrest, however you are using your legs too much and using the momentum of your leg kick to get you up.

  • @jwebb1975 please don't make comments like this, this is crossfit, you don't understand the mechanics of it

  • well done !! ive been crossfitting for about 2 years and i agree "kipping" takes intense coordination, skill, and endurance. form looked great ! keep up the great work

  • these don't look like the pullups i've been doing....i just use my arms/chest and don't use a swinging momentum. if this works the abs that's cool though

  • I feel like if you're gonna kip, you might as well do a muscle up. Same motion. -Omega Blaze

  • Why repost this vid? it's awesome but just curious

  • This vid has been out for a long time for it to be reposted now. Cool vid good form, I cant use new grips like that though they get slippery on me even with chalk

  • gwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!

  • You are using abs and legs too. This is NOT proper chest to bar pull ups.But it can work your abs in the same time.

  • @ninjutsu111 where is your vid? Oh, that's right - it doesn't exist...

  • from what i see hes doing it almost perfectly to crossfit's standards ( a program which yields some of the best athletes out there) so to you all numb nut haters that cant even do 1 pull up should talk less about the physiology and start trying legit kipping pull ups. nice vid man keep working at it

  • Is crossfit a good program? you bet. Does it produce great results? Again yes. Has it proven itself in competition by dominating the competition at it's own game? no it refused to show up, made its own game, and mocks those who don't find it worth while. Creating a means and a measure for fitness creates a terrible bias statistically speaking.

Anyway I crossfit, i love it, and I believe it's what any non specialized athlete (military and martial artists included) should do.

  • 22 pushups you can do! not 100!!! well thats still beter than me!!

  • solid work man. bet your hands got pretty ripped up after this?

  • do 50 with no momentum in half the time. now that's impressive.

  • NO WAY! you got to be kidding me.

  • pretty leet

  • true muscles generate the momentum. Not the back muscles though. Doing 100 of em swingies on this music would get u a big back. but don't go back and brag it to your mommy over the milk shake.

  • It's two songs, Beenie Man- Who you Wanna Dis and Sean Paul-No bly

  • i would like to see any of you (FatAss) youtubers do 100 of these, even if it wasnt in sequence!

  • Glad you posted it, since I don't see it demo'd at Crossfit.

To a rookie at this, you look like a total animal to me. I am very impressed.

  • keyword was crossfit. those arent pull ups, theyre kip ups. like a third of the strain placed on arms and lats as a dead hang

  • but about 10x more cardio than regular pull ups

  • if your using pull ups as cardio you could use a trip to the pool

  • @str94100 I think you should try some crossfit work outs and see what you think afterward.

  • @FinnishCraig3 oddly enough i have done crossfit workouts. and yeah using a timed evolution as a workout tends to work cardio. but the pull ups dont

  • I can kip too!

  • i love the guy in the background failing at butterfly...

you dont want to do that many pullups! (all the calluses ripped off my right hand yesterday on my 65th in a row) nastiest feeling

  • doing pull ups by the crossfit standard? Obviously your fit, but pausing at the bottom requires more strength to achieve the same amount of pull ups.

  • kipping pullups...

  • Have you tried the kipping crossfit style pullup? My opinion here, but I found it to be not much easier than strict pullups. If you see the range of motion here, the dude gets full extension and chest up to the bar. Most strict people who do strict pulls will not get that ROM. The lack of break between sets.. well, it's a good workout. Props, I can do a 100 but, not in 8min.

  • I also do Pull-up in my workouts. Very impressive, props to you....

  • for those that have not seen it you guys should see speal do 106 pull-ups in a row most of which were butterfly.

  • If you don't know what crossfit is don't post

  • Too much rest!

But good form keep it up!!!

  • post a video and show me how its done!

  • Do a 100 kipping pullups,

tell me how you feel after.

Then tell me how you feel the day after.

Not any ordinary Joe can do 100.

  • hey bionic, how do you like the gloves? i just bought a pair but im still breaking em in..

for those who asked the song is "Nah Get no Bly" by sean paul

  • chest to bar 'kipping pullups'

  • NAME OF THE SONG PLEASE???

  • I'm a "form is every thing" guy. But chest to bar is a good standard.

  • , i think someone would lose their grip if they were hanging off a cliff and tried this.

  • Crossfit is designed to train for real world. Tell me, if you are hanging from the side of a mountain and need to get to the next level are you gonna use your entire musculo-skeletal system to propel you up or are you gonna use only your arms and lats? Oh wait, most of you probably aren't going to climb a mountain so I guess that's a useless question. Keep doing your 'strict' pull-ups and maybe someday, while you're falling off a swingset, you'll wish you had worked the body collectively. :)

  • fortsbest: what you say is true, but having a little muscle helps too :D

  • You take momentum with lags, you jump

that make the pull ups not perfect

  • can you do 100 of these, "perfectly" in the same time frame? if not, shut up and start kipping. and put your chest on the bar EVERY time. and if you can, where's the video? and no, your word won't cut it.

  • cool...can i use the butterfly kip technique for chest to bar?

  • sure....you will get tired quicker though!

  • Comment removed

  • you haters are awesome.....buch'a loosers!!!

  • amazing

  • Pretty good work man. What's the song, it's killer

  • Great job;very good cardio, kipping is really another style of training, don't care about haters keep it up!

  • thats pretty impressive....

how many can u do in one go without swinging?

  • maybe 12-15

  • ur kidding right as if u culdnt do more im not even gun and i can do 10 in a row with swinging im only 16 ur obviously gun and could do much more dont understate ur self

  • Great work Omar!

  • LMAO, well said Pootch! I just don't bother with these people. They talk a lot of crap but have nothing to show or back it up. I should delete them but i actually enjoy them. Lets me realize how many dumb-ignorant-idiots actually exist in this planet

  • Some people train with machines...others like machines!! Keep on training like a beast :D

  • Try doing half as many with proper form, and not bending at the core. it puts much more resistance on your lats, delts and arms. Crossfit is basic training for women.

  • Getting the work done 10 times faster... Speed, Power, technique ... beating the shit out of guys like you... thats what its all about ;)

  • Yeh, thats a dead hang pull up with no emphasis on conditioning.

This is Metabolic Conditioning at its best - Kipping involves a technical element whereby the focus isnt just on shear strength, but agility and accuracy aswell.

Crossfit rips the shit out of all mainstream gyms full stop as it recognises that fitness isnt just about strength or bulk.

With your apparently extensive Gym knowledge, i would have thought that you knew this already....!

    Luke@CrossfitUK Plymouth

  • Great Job! It would be interesting to see the time it would take to do 100 pull ups; with no momentum, using the same grip as you did here.

  • LMAO....Thanks to all you guys defending the "kip", chest-to-bar that is. You are awesome. I wouldn't even waist my fingers trying to defend. I'll be on here all day. The best i can say to defend the kip is "READ UP ON CROSSFIT".....LOL....comments much appreciated people. TY

  • nice, intense workout, implement some hard ass burpees inbetween and it owuld be pretty animal...CROSSFIT RULES!

  • Nice work man, people who talk shit on crossfit are most likely huge pussies. Go do one workout at a nearby crossfit gym and then come back and talk shit on kipping,

  • Got some great strength going on there but (dont take me for a hater i just wana no) sorry if i wrong i always was told you get more out of your pull ups if you have total control and keep prefect form like quality over quantity you no.

What the reason you guys kip up what does it give you that perfect form pull ups dont?

    Great vid!!!!

    Best Regards TTY

  • it's plyometrically explosive, more athletic movement, with faster cycle time than it's dead hang cousin, takes quite some coordination, brachiation, compression of the shoulder girdle builds strength there, and it's fantastic for metabolic conditioning.we also do L pullups, deadhangs, weighted pullups, ice cream scoops etc.well done omar!monster effort

  • i dont quite understand peoples issue with momentum? "these aren't real real pullups which rely on ACTUAL MUSCLE. These are muscle + momentum.." this is hilarious!!!

what do you think generates this momentum?... MUSCLE you idiots!!! some people need to have a think about what they are saying, and maybe try kipping themselves and realise how much more intense it is and how hard it is to control the rhythm and coordination!!!!!!!!!

  • people who talk down about crossfit and its kipping pull ups just don't have the heart for crossfit workouts. But it's ok, every body wasn't meant to be that tough. HA HA HA HA.

  • i hate when people talk out of their asses.people that leave negative remarks should try crossfit and get familiar with the concept before making any ignorant comments.

  • I guess if you are doing this specifically for CrossFit, then its worth it. However, IMO these aren't real real pullups which rely on actual muscle. These are muscle + momentum which make them easier. Look up Bartendaz or just search youtube for some crazy pullups without all the momentum.

  • Understandabe. My advise to you is read and understand the CrossFit program, and understand why we do what we do!

  • Will do. Not knocking the fact that you are capable of doing what you did, the momentum takes away from the muscle workout you could be getting on dead hang pull ups.

  • NPG this is not true. Dead hang pull ups would only target a specific muscle and crossfit focuses on working the entire body.

  • Though you really should check out the demo you're not kipping your hips through as much as you could at the top. Also careful with keeping your shoulders engaged at the bottom to reduce stress on the cuff.

  • the kipping chest to bar is different that the regular kipping pull up, dont worry my guess is he knows what he's doing considering the fact that he qualified for the crossfit games

  • shouldnt swing ur body. no point to doing a pull up then. it gives you momentum.

  • you obviously are not familiar with the "kip" or CrossFit
