Great stuff here. Icy roads are scary as hell. Not being able to stop as I'm careening towards a van or other large object is the most surefire way to soil my shorts.

What dash cam are you using. I just got one but it skipps video frames, not sure if the skipping is the camera or card. I am using a 16 gig class 4 sandisk. how about you?

@MsLightbar My front camera is called Smart Block Box 1100 bought ($287.14) The Car Black Box.com My back camera is one I bought from Ebay ($56.95). My front camera has No sound so I copy rear cameras sound and overlap to the front camera. Front camera curently recording off 8gb SD and rear 4gb. The only thing I dont like is the rear camera stops recording for 5 secs to save the video and then restarts. Front camera continues records, no stopping. Perfer front camera over rear.

stupid people slamming brakes because they see a cop is just dumb and not suspicious at all right lol! damn that was close with the jeep! had similar but different happen to me today! slowing then just slammed the brake I came close to suv and caddy behind got close to me! crazy situiation with the night freeway buddies, I would have got off too! very scary incidents lately! I hate sliding! was your car fine from salt! had a truck drop dirt hitting my car way in past! great captures

Not all drivers is perfect. I made a huge mistakes sometime too but again, we can't do very much with ice. We rarely put salt around here or snow being plowed.

I hate when people slam on their brakes when drivers see police. That just proves their doing something wrong, and attracts more attention to them.

Also good control at 5:35. Just wondering, why didnt you just back up instead of going through the red? Or were there vehicles behind you?

@machsad1 I could not back up due to a pickup slidding on the same ice (I could have put rear cam on this Comp but it was recording a snow covered rear-window. I saw the truck out of my side mirror. He Stopped in time, but that left me sitting Directly in the intersection. So when I saw the intersection was clear, I got out of the intersection. I was thinking, Why sit there, In Danger, if I was able to get out of the way.

@FloppyHatPhotos there's no red light cameras in that town. I believe Minneapolis only has red light cameras

@FloppyHatPhotos Plus in the snow and ice, police forgive the ticket if you are trying to stop and slid through. If you planned on running it, then they would give the ticket. I was slidding on ice, and stopped in the middle of the intersection, in danger. So when traffic clear, I kept going to get out of danger. So that would not be considered "running the light".

Still no snow here in New Brunswick Canada but I am definitely not driving on the first snow or first storm since there's still too many people without winter tires.
