So what is hip hop? A genre of music filled with people who portray themselves as idiots, who can't play instruments, who don't create their own instrumentals and who write mediocre-dreadful lyrics. Now I know that in general music is glorified poetry, but the thing about 90% of the other genres of music, have talented people who have abilities to play musical instruments and write decent lyrics. My problem is that the 10 % (hip hop) don't play instruments and (I think, not positive) that they don't even create their own beats. And even if they do, its all computer generated! And 95% of the lyrics in hip hop are unecissarily stupid, violent and demeaning.

I admire both of them and i've been to Glastonbury 9 times and can honestly say Oasis always play badly there whereas Jay-Z had the best audience participation i've ever seen on the Pyramid stage. I've also seen Oasis at Maine Road, Knebworth, Wembley Stadium and The Rose Bowl where they have been outstanding, if you choose to ignore either artist or genres of music your the one who is missing out.

Hip hop is just a tool for talent-less people to enter the music industry and become succesfull. It doesn't matter if you make up the lyrics on the spot. I mean that does take some talent but not as much as it does to play a real instrument! ( I stress Real). Jay also runs about 16 different businesses, co-owns an NBA team and does far more charity work than Noel. He also outsells Oasis 10 to 1...So in my opinion Jay is the better of the two even though I like the music both of them make.

I admire both of them and i've been to Glastonbury 9 times and can honestly say Oasis always play badly there whereas Jay-Z had the best audience participation i've ever seen on the Pyramid stage. I've also seen Oasis at Maine Road, Knebworth, Wembley Stadium and The Rose Bowl where they have been outstanding, if you choose to ignore either artist or genres of music your the one who is missing out.

if you're saying that you listen to all kinds of music, and you've never heard of noel gallagher, then you just probably listen to shit rap songs on your ipod and never even listen to the radio . i mean come on, noel gallagher, headlined glasto several times, been on the radio a LOT, seen in all kind of tv-shows, .. if you say you've never heard 'of his ass', then it's your fault for being narrow-minded .

well I guess im narrow minded too because I never heard of his ass either...I listen to the radio all the time and have never EVER...EVER...EVER heard of this guy...never even heard of the band or the song wonderwall...when Jay was singing it at glasto...I was like what the fuck is that nigga singing...but I must admit I listened to the song performed by Oasis and I like it its catchy
