Man! That Frontosa is awesome! I have 2 that are only around 3 inches or so. They are just now starting to show the hump development. Kudos to you for keeping them properly housed. I keep mine in a 6' 250 gal as well.

frontosa dont have big bellies especialy males as they dont carry row . this fish is perfectly healthy and a stunning fish . i have 6 of them but they are younger . there so peacefull im sure you could almost keep them with guppies . very nice mate . im a potter and made all the heads and caves for my 200 gallon tank . my clown loaches love them to . none so blind as those who will not see my friend lol .

If you guys knew anything about frontosa, you would know that his belly will be always be like that. If you have a frontosa that is swollen right there theres probably something wrong with it. I have a huge F1 male and a Brundi Female and they both have those bellys and theyre DEFINATELY not underfed lol

@Internettroll1 That Front does actually have 6 bars, you need to remember fronts have a white body with black stripes. The final "stripe" has some serious mooning but you can see the white base of his fronts body. Looks like a burundi front, feed him a bit and he may color up and look nicer :D nice fish though!

Yeah that's how most of my fish looked when I bought them from the shop. I don't think they fed them at all whilst in the holding tanks and you can tell by the way their bellies go inwards instead of being curved slightly outwards or flat.

I bought 5 baby Acei last week and when I got them home I accidentally spilled about 5 times as much food as I would normally feed, and they ate it all! Don't think they had eaten for days or even weeks.
