  • I jumped on stage at the Humming bird centre Toronto,Canada, and hugged him :).lol.

  • far be it from me to criticize the smiths front man, but the band members are trying way to hard to be cool. so unoriginal. what is that style called?? rockabilly? it makes me feel sick.

    i'm just saying.

  • you'll never guess

  • I love King Leer better live <3<3

  • this guy and Chris Isaak are cut off the same tree. Not to mention David Lynch and David Bowie...

  • This is very highlife.

  • VIVA Morrissey...

  • youre welcome. :) <3

  • wow never have ever seen this thaks for posting

  • Early 90's Morrissey rules.

  • surprised that Morrissey decided not to sing the vocal climax of the song. nevertheless, i liked the effect. a terribly underrated song, played very very well. much thanks to kgis17

  • Love this song.....you didnt even thank me cause you never do...........

  • I live the central valley....hot/rod.....underworld ...lifstyle...I listen to a bunch...of heavy..rock..and punk...and shock a billy...,,,I dont care...everytime...I see this video,,,,,It just...ranks up there ...in pure rock,,and roll....,,cool....!!!!!!

  • does he say 'give of the Gabba'??

if so, very nice cricket reference.

  • @Penningtor I'm pretty sure it's gift of the grab.

  • @Penningtor Gift of the gab, as in 'he talks too much'.

  • Pop deviance of the highest order. A quiffed gay man with his quiffed straight band singing a song about a cooed-over Chihuahua. And the arrangement - Scotty and Bill meets Sondheim? That the "I'm bored now" line is given to the bruiser-looking guitarist seals it.

Never understood the antipathy toward "Kill Uncle" - for me, it's up there with "Vauxhall" and "Quarry" in my Morrissey top 3.

  • @blackmore4 hey, can you explain more what you mean by this post?

  • That dude who took Morrissey's high part is Joey from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

  • If Jesus did in fact exsist Morrissey would still be the greatest.

  • killer song ..and performance..and with the song presented in the "rock a billy" style..just the best,....makes me want to go out and drag race my classic truck..

  • this song was played live in australia come on they have so many gifts already.

  • very last of the famous international genius.

  • Alain White!! ahh this is how i love to remember Morrissey

  • anything Moz and rockabilly-ish is awesome!!!

  • morrissey at his best excellent video thanks for posting

  • Oh, this song is too silly. It's things like this that baffle me when people accuse Moz of being humorless or overtly miserable.

  • gary day can slap it good..... the bass of course :)

  • I agree with the amitious outsider. A gobsmackingly fantastic live TV performance.

  • By far the best recorded version of this song. Its baffling how much Alain Whyte looks like Gene Vincent! My god!

  • love the rockabilly days of moz and the boys!!!! xx

    VIVA MOZ

  • more than amazing... that is maybe my favourite video on youtube and one of Moz best tv performance ever...

  • damn. moz always played with such great musicians!

  • It sucks that this album was sabotaged, it could have been fantastic if Alain and Boz were in control of writing the music instead of Mark E. Nevin. It comes off as a very gay pop album, almost George Michaels-esque, which is diametric to what Moz is. if Alain and Boz had written the music it would have been an incredible Rockabilly album.

  • @Mordaruis I very much disliked this album before I even read the reviews that thought the same, although King Leer was one of a couple tracks I happened to like. But yes this does strike me as Morrissey's 'gayest' sounding album. Listen to this song then listen to the fantastic intro to Your Arsenal "You're Gonna Need..." It's incredible how he and Boz reinvented what Morrissey was and is today

  • this is probably the best version of this song.... does anyone disagree? what was he thinking when he wrote this, or when he was first handed this track to listen too...... very curious to know. anyway, i just got goosebumps of when i first heard this on my alarm clock tape player when i was 11. love it.

  • @deadelvis333 i am a huge morrissey /smiths fan and i havent seen any performance of this song any better

  • i love this songs the upright bass sounds great. i have a rockabilly band and we cover this song it sounds great i do the upright bass my favorite part of the song is the solo morrissey is awsome!

  • @tayspawn82 hmm.. i'd like to hear that:)

  • Very nice,very nice...great days!

  • Superb stuff. The best Moz backing band ever: Boz Boorer , Gary Day ,Alain Whyte and Spencer Cobrin. Great slap bass solo by Gaz. I hope Morrissey reforms this line-up one day.

  • boz boorer by far morrisseys best guitarist

  • love this song! thanks for reigniting my love of the kill uncle album!

  • Glad you all enjoy it

    :]

    -Karen

  • alan messed up didnt sing the harmony the first time like he was supposed you see him go to the mic but messes up hahah but great song!!! love moz!

  • easily the best song from kill uncle!
