He does say some mean things during the film, but this particular quote is dead on accurate. If you don't find it funny, hit the stop button on your DVD player and go rent something Oprah suggested.

In my opinion, this is Jack's best performance of his career because his character fits his actual persona so well: smart aleck, sarcastic, witty, facial expressions galore, irreplaceable one-liners, unrelenting stubbornness, and just an overall badass.

Before condemning only Jack, consider this: Who's worse? The writer who depicts women in such an insulting manner, only to become successful in a female dominant genre. And it's direction with stated precision, instead of flabby revisitation to the dubious male stereotypes that have been flooding your television for years. It's a matter of context.
