The pre-season/night GF was played at Waverley most of the time.

The last day in September has only been played away from the MCG a few times...namely 1945 and 1991.

look at geelong 2003 12th 2007 premiers, hawthorn 2005 14th 2008 premiers, brisbane 1998 16th 2001-3 premiers and port 2000 14th 2004 premiers.

the dogs have only won 1 premiership and hasn't made the gf since 1961, richmond has only made the finals 3 times since their last premiership (1980) and st. kilda has only 1 premiership which was by a point.
