Almost 5 years later - Yes, it was well worth the time & money. After marriage and birth events, this still ranks right up there near the top, along with adventures in Israel, parasailing in Zihuathanejo, ballooning in Arizona, and climbing to the top of cathedrals in Europe. I don't care much for the ad, but it is right -- some things are priceless.
In my opinion -- yes. It's the most pricey excursion we took on our 2-week tour from Fairbanks to Seward (bus & train) and Seward to Vancouver (cruise ship) -- and the most memorable. I agree -- best for adults & older teens.
