beats are garbage for the price PERIOD. you are paying for the name and nothing else. I mean why the triple a batteries? because the impedance is so high they would drain your battery in like 15 minutes. So not only are you over paying for the phones but you also have to buy a shit ton of batteries. You can pick up some Senns, sonys, grados, beyers, akgs for under $100 that murder the beats in sound quality. Beats have exaggerated bass and roll off in the highs and absolutely no mids.

I recently purchased a new pair Beats by Dr. Dre Solo. Once I plug it into my Nokia Xpress Music, the sound is missing the bass, the low sounds, and sounds very one dimensional. However, when i press down on the center button of the "control talk" on the cable of the headphones, the sound is back to normal. But pressing it down the whole time can be a hassle.

How do i fix this? Thanks

These are terrible headphones. Massive amounts of distorted bass and muddy mids & highs make these terrible for anyone that is looking to hear their music the way it was supposed to sound. The FR of these headphones look like a ski slope from the bass to the highs. You are just paying for over hyped headphones that look good. If you care about sound do not buy these.

Super high-end huh..$300 is not close to any high end in terms of price and these have sound quality that is several levels below the "super high-end".

The Beats Studio are good headphones,I have these along with the SOlo and Tour. Fun headphones.

You want to talk super high end,you start with the Ultrasone Special 8 and Grado PS-1000,each costs over $1500 US.

The way the artist intended...LOL What an overused and abused term.

Since you seem so good at googling 'HIGH END HEADPHONES'.. what exactly is the difference? The only thing that make be different, is SLIGHTLY and I stress that word) better clarity, and better frequency range. There isn't a whole hell of a lot to improve on to justify spending another 5x time the price of these.

Slightly to a deaf man listening on a iPod. Get a proper headphone amp and quality DAC. Then listen again using acoustic music, not the top 40 garbage that pollutes the airwaves.

There is a major gain in SQ, from transparency,dynamics,instrume­nt separation and localisation with better headphones.

Take the basic Grado SR225 and compare ,the Grado is less pricey than the Studio, just BTW.

They suck and break in the cold weather real easy. There is no noise isolation at all, unless you want to break them by turning the volume up real loud. This does not know what he is talking about. You're better with a pair of Skullcandy Ink'd earphones.

I have beats and bose qc 15. to be truthful beats by dr dre suck ass compared to bose qc15 when it comes to noise canceling. The music in the beats also leak too much. The bose keeps the music to yourself. The only thing beats is better at than bose is when it comes to the bass, but overall bose QC15 are better!!!!!!

Arghhhh... I can't believe people are actually buying these. I'm really sorry but in my opinion, not only are they overpriced, but they're not worth $300.

I mean, I've heard them, the noise cancelling is great, the bass is plentiful, the low-end and high-ends are pretty good but it's seriously not worth the money.

If I had $300, I would buy a Sansa Clip (supposedly having the best audio quality out of all mp3s) and some Audio Technicas, AKGs, Sennheisers or something else professional.

Please guys, if you're contemplating on whether or not to get these, just think about it. I'm not saying they're bad, but for $300 you can get much, much more.

Denon has a great line of professional DJ headphones with great sound reproduction -the noise cancellation.

If you're saving up for them and believe that these aren't worth $300 too, look in to investing your money on the Grado SR60s ($60). Supposedly the best headphones for your money. Apparently $200 headphones are on-par with them.

yah i bought these at apple online too. w/t tax they cost me 330 dollars. a little pricey but worth it. they fore sure blow bose away. the bass is full (it vibrates your ears on high bass song!), and great noise cancelling. the phone thing really works too. i got the i phone recently along with the beats, and it is so easy to pick up calls and you dont have to take off the beats. it really works. i love them. even though they're pricey, they are WORTH IT!!
