The problem is walking makes you thirsty & unless you live near water what do you do? Water is the #1 essential. I purchased a rolling cart to carry water and a tent. @YuppiePrepper A BOB isn't only for an economic collapse. It could be used for tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, etc. Most people will have another destination planned & will be driving there. But since noone knows what lies ahead it's good to have a BOB in your car, just in case you'll need to exit your car & go it on foot. During a hurricane here 1000's were stranded on I 40 for 8 hrs during a CAT 3 hurricane. No food, water, or toilet. Only fools laugh @ preparation. Don't be a fool, prepare!

Anyhow, I agree with the GHBs and BOBs though find that most people would survive 99% of emergencies far better if they put the money they would have spent on bug-out toys on a debit card and drove to a friend/family member's home after almost any emergency that would actually happen.

I don't think most people prepare enough food or supplies. Lastly, the Bible is full of God's promises that I count on, I could never make it without Jesus. He always been there for me in every valley & through every one of life's storms. Different strokes for different folks, all cats swing different ways.

#10 cans are great for long term food storage, but I suggest having smaller cans. If there is no electricity and you open a #10 can, how will you "keep" the left overs. It would be awful to waste all that food because there is no way to use it all before it goes bad.

Wheat berries are your number one friend. Buy 25 pound bags for 20 bucks. Buy Mylar bags and home Depot (food grade buckets) pop in a few O2 absorbers (online). This is the BEST VALUE you can have. Wheat berries store up to 20yrs. They are cerial, bread, pancakes, Sprouts in winter, and seeds in your garden for more wheat berries. I have like 50 5 gallen buckets, and 50 of everything else. Wheat Berries ROCK!

Folks will need to buy a manual wheat grinder & learn how to make bread & other foods from wheat. I personally have a 2 yr. supply. For easier preparation I also have rice, oats, grits & pasta, although none is nutritious as wheat. . A plus, wheat is a seed, great point.

thanks for the video. There certainly could be global unrest and political upheaval. I think the end result will actually be good for everyone. 1776 revolution resulted in a country that had probably more freedoms at the time than ever before. Fall of Germany resulted in a rise of industrialism and america. Fall of Berlin wall resulted in great shifts. I think society needs to focus more on providing more for the rest of the world, but until then it never hurts to be ready for whats coming.

some say hoarding suppplies is hurtful for the economy. I disagree. Every purchase someone makes is a bid or a "vote" towards entreprenuers and investors to take note.

In other words, if you start buying up food and neccessities, farmlands will be utilized, they will join in food businesses and technology will find ways to be more effecient in that area rather than towards the areas of luxury big screen TVs and such. Unfortunately the government bribes farmers not to produce at max capacity.

if everyone on the planet wouldn't buy plasma TVs companies may go out of business and jobs would be lost, but the creators and owners of that company would simply reorginize elsewhere and start producing in the areas of need. I think that this massive reoginization away from luxury and towards neccessities may be a good thing whether the people in NWO are just out for power and control or not. The intent is a global economic shift, but I have to believe there is a bigger purpose than just power

This is one possible scenerio, I agree. However, for the amount of room it takes up I would carry them anyway.

I do agree with carrying precious metals and assume those who can afford them would bring them, esp/ silver rounds.

Items to barter also a good idea to pack.

all those items are great to have but the first thing on your list should be semi auto rifle and ammo, ammo, ammo. our society looks pretty calm but things can turn bad really fast. just look at LA riots, Katrina your biggest worry should be those around you!
