Metro-North engines were added because the Amtrak P32's don't have any emergency nose hatches or rear exits which is a requirement to run into the terminal. Because of this, while Amtrak had to use GCT instead of Penn Station, Metro-North/CDOT P32AC-DM's had to be added to the head end.

train #285 was formerly the Niagara Rainbow, now just a NYC-NFN Empire Service Train. The Ethan Allen's are 29x trains.....
