Punk and Pop Punk are not much different. Pop Punk is just not as hardcore, and slot of Green Days older stuff was pretty hardcore.Green Day dosent sound much like Pop Punk or Punk Rock but alot of their old songs have more of a Punk Rock feeling than Pop Punk. But Green Day has always been different from everybody. The Ramones were the first real Punk band and yeah all those bands that you mentioned are the first Punk rock bands.
