@regelemihai Well its kinda hard to give examples, cus its the way she talks overall. Everything she says, has a bit of an accent. Its not such a big noticeable accent, but its there. sorry :/

Freaking Latinos! Why are we not content with the people we have in Hollywood?! We don't consider Jennifer a Latin Hollywood star because her spanish isn't perfect, we don't consider Sofia Vergara or Shakira because they look white. So what the hell do you people want??! Some "india" straight up from "el rancho" to parade around on the red carpet?? I'm sorry that that hasn't happened yet, but we should be proud for these people who have made a name for themselves and are representing latinos.

You guys..shes not OBLIGATED TO learn the whole language. you're expecting her to know all of it & saying shes not latina because of it. i was born in latin america and i known spanish all my life and hear people around me speak it, shes not so far from how some of my cousins speak spanish. Be happy she even knows how to handle a spanish interview. shes amazing and dont anyone dare say she isnt an example of a latina cuz shes got curves like one, speaks spanish, and has a spirit of a latina.

oh come on! it wasn't that bad! at least she speaks some spanish! and i have heard worse accents. she was born and raised in the US. it so much more difficult to learn a language if you don't speak it all the time. of course she could improve her grammar and such, but there is not much you can do with the accent. anyways, i think she is amazing

Man why are people making such a big deal about the little mistakes? The important thing is that you can understand her. I bet if we were to put one of you guy's on the spot and point out all your little grammar "mistakes" you wouldn't like it at all. (And trust me we all have our little grammar "mistakes." )

And besides everyone has a different "accent" and ways of saying things. I know for a fact that 100% of kids in the USA do NOT speak English correctly.

The accent that comes from someone who, while they grew up speaking English almost exclusively, maybe like a mother or grandma spoke a mixture of spanish and english. She, like me, probably understands spanish almost perfectly, in whatever accent...

...but when it comes to us speaking it... :) well...it never comes out right.

ex: "estoy muy emocionado..." - she's a girl

"no se lo que voy a poner todavia..." - she's trying to say I don't know what I'm going to wear but she's missing the indirect object pronoun "me" - lo que me voy a poner or lo que voy a ponerme... still sounds weird..

"cada cultura tienen sus propias cosas" - cultura es una palabra singular - por eso deberia ser "cada cultura TIENE sus propias cosas"

During the filming of Selena I remember interviews done with JLO where her spanish was much worse than here - every other word was "um" or "como se dice"

It's true sometimes it seems like she is not comfortable. But YES she did make sense and some words were somewhat off still however I understood her very well. I'm fluent in both languages. I was born and raised in The bronx NY as well. Sometimes for people like us that come from a puerto rican family it's rough to learn both. Most likely Mom would speak both. Grandmom would only speak spanish and yourself english.  It's weird to explain.
